Time Frame: After To Mend and Defend, before Game Over.
Author's Note: Maybe this song doesn't entirely go with the storyline, or even Bob and Dot's relationship. But some of the lyrics do pretty much size up the whole 'Bob is in the Web, and I never got to tell you how I felt' situation. So, those lyrics are in here, and the lyrics that don't go with the storyline I cut out. Sorry Britney!
Dot weeped silently as she ran her thumb over a picture of Bob she held in her hands.
"Bob...oh, Bob, why did we trust Megabyte? Why? There had to have been another way to close the portal. If we had just taken a little more time to think things over..this all could have been avoided!" Dot sunk deeper into her bed as she brought the picture of Bob down, and held it tightly against her chest.
"If we only had a little more time...I never told you how I feel about you..."
"Bob...are you okay? Are you safe? Have you been deleted? Are you trying to find a way to come back to Mainframe? Are you trying to contact us? Are you trying to get to the Super Computer? Oh, User, I wish I knew! I wish I were with you right now! I don't care if I'd be in the Web! At least I'd be with you!" Hot tears began to stream down her pale green cheek; unnoticed by the grieving sprite.
"No. You wouldn't want that. I know you wouldn't. For my sake; along with Mainframe's. I'm the Command.com! I'm suppose to be in charge of Mainframe. I have to look out for Enzo. I have to make sure nothing at all happens to him. I have a responsibility to Mainframe."
Suddenly, her features hardened as a wave of anger flooded through her.
"And so do you, Bob! You are our Guardian! You're suppose to be here! To mend and defend! You're SUPPOSE to be here, damn it! But are you? No, no you're not! Why aren't you here!? Why aren't you off in some Game right now doing what you do best?! Why aren't you here teaching Enzo how to be a Guardian?! Why aren't you here to be my Guardian?" The anger vanished, being replaced by more tears as she broke down. Tears staining her cheek, and falling to her pillow; making a small, damp puddle.
"Bob, please come back to me. We need you here! I need you! I love you! I have ever since I first laid eyes on you! But I need to tell you. And for that to happen you need to find a way back to Mainframe!
"Enzo can't defeat Megabyte without you. Neither can Mouse, AndrAIa, myself or anyone else! Not without you!" Dot placed the picture of Bob on a table next to her bed, and closed her eyes.
It was going to be another night where she cried herself to sleep. Another night filled with nightmares. Nightmares of what Bob was going through. What measures he was taking to survive. What Mainframe would become if he didn't return soon.
"Bob, I promise we'll hold the line for as long as we can. Just come back...." The words died on her lips as she fell into a restless sleep.
