Background
Obviously, I got the idea for this fic while watching James Cameron's Titanic. And like many other ReBoot fans,.. okay maybe one or two,.. Allright, I wanted to see Bob and Dot in the roles of Jack and Rose (respectively of course *g*), but I couldn't think of a way to get Mainframe's favorite couple onto the Real World's favorite disaster.
Then, while at my sister's house, her boyfriend showed me this new computer game called Titanic: Adventure out of Time, and Bingo: all I had to do was combine the movie plot with the game plot, and put it all into the ReBoot universe. Easy.
Unfortunately, I am not too familiar with the game, and I only saw the movie once (and, no, I didn't even like it). So, even though I searched the internet for all the info I could find, I don't expect everything to be accurate.
But just for the record, I do NOT consider myself a writer (Truth is, I don't enjoy writing at all!). The Idea was stuck in my head for months before I decided to make something of it, and this has taken me more than a year to write. Mainly because I'm just making up the details as I go, figuring on which elements from either the game or the movie to keep or skip over, but still making this primarily a ReBoot fic. By the time this is finished, the Titanic craze will probably be out the window, but who cares! It's ReBoot! Enjoy! : )
