ReBoot was the first complete CGI (computer generated imagery) show on television, created by Mainframe Entertainment, a Canadian based company. ReBoot first appeared in America in 1994 as part of the Saturday morning cartoon lineup. The show itself deals with the lives and times of several sprites that live inside a computer. The main characters start out as Bob(the hero), Dot (the business woman), her little brother Enzo, and the wise and benevolent Phong. The villans of ReBoot are Megabyte and Hexadecimal, siblings and resident viruses. The very basic storyline is that of good versus evil (the Mainframers versus the virals), but ReBoot also all the elements of a complex and deep saga: very developed characters, evil villans, pyschos, heroes with character flaws, and several underlying love stories.
ReBoot is the flagship of CGI shows, and Mainframe Entertainment's pride and joy. Being the first of its kind, ReBoot stood out amoung your typical Saturday morning cartoons like a ostrich in a chicken coop. It is shown in English, Spanish and French in countries through out the world, including the United States, the UK, Canada, and Australia. Though originally created as a children's show, its humor and story are appreciated by people of all ages.
