Season III
3.1.1 : To Mend and Defend
Megabyte holds the Mainframers under siege, as Hexadecimal fires the Principle Office her new toy, and his ABC's pick off the last of the trooper CPUs. Mouse hacks into the core and manages to protect them with a temporary shield wall. Megabyte demands their surrender. He is ignored, as usual. Enzo's guardian protocols are urging him to fight, but Dot refuses to endanger her little brother.
Coming to a last resort, Mouse and Dot head out to face the enemy head to head, but are saved when a game lands on the hardware, frying Hexadecimal. Enzo and AndrAIa leave to enter the game, but Mouse grabs AndrAIa, for neither of their icons are formatted for rebooting. The Matrix siblings enter the game, along with Frisket. Megabyte's henchmen take possession of Hexadecimal and take her back to the Tor. Inside the game, the other citizens seem to hold no confidence in Enzo because he is young and untried.
3.1.2 : Between a Raccoon and a Hard Place
Megabyte continues his campaign of half truths and lies against Enzo, going so far as to blocking the Guardian from entering the games. The User wins the latest game, and Megabyte takes over the nullified sector, spreading his empire. To deal with the angry citizens, Phong suggests that Enzo begin entering the games without the aid of his sister, to regain the peoples' faith. Dot is against this idea from the outset, but as Mouse points out, Dot is needed elsewhere.
Mouse says she'll look after Enzo and AndrAIa in the games, but their icons, unlike Enzo's, aren't formatted for rebooting. So Mouse hacks into Enzo's icons and copies some of the code onto her and AndrAIa's icons, theoretically allowing them to reboot. Dot uses a relatively though deceptive plan to trick the ABCs so Mouse, Enzo, and AndrAIa can enter the coming game. They enter it without Mouse, however, for AndrAIa steal's the hacker zipboard, so that in case their icons don't work, only one of them will leave with the game.
3.1.3 : Firewall
This episode begins with a James Bond type theme that is present throughout. Enzo and AndrAIa congratulate each other on upon winning another game, and are confronted by Megabyte and his troops. The virus uses Enzo a messenger boy, to tell Dot that she and the others are hiding while others suffered, and Megabyte was going to make them sufferer a lot. Enzo begins to lose faith in himself as a guardian. Mouse spurs him by saying she's glad Bob's not here to see this. Enzo unintentionally comes up with the idea of an inverted firewall, to trap Megabyte in G-Prime. Meanwhile, the virus himself plans to use Hexadecimal's somewhat contained powers to lead a new assault on the Principle Office.
Hugh Branch, one of the tech boys, explains their plan to create the firewall, as a game descends on Mainframe. Inside the game, Enzo and AndrAIa are greeted by a mob of angry citizens, led by Cyrus, proclaiming "down with Enzo!" As the User approaches, the people flee, but Enzo and AndrAIa manage to recruit Cyrus to help them. Mouse, in Ship, begins to lay down the foundation for the firewall.
3.1.4 : Game Over
With the aid of Hexadecimal's powers, Megabyte opens a rift in the firewall, sending out his legions to attack the Principle Office. The ABC tanks are either destroyed by smart cannons or crash into the firewall when they try to reenter the closing rift. The loss of the innocent virals weighs heavy on Dot. Inside the Tor, Megabyte's hold over his sister grows weaker. Right on cue, another game enters the system and Enzo and AndrAIa, along with Frisket, head into it.
3.2.1 : Icons
Now adults, Enzo and AndrAIa, accompanied by Frisket, find themselves in a devastated system after defeating a game. We see now that Enzo only goes by Matrix, a huge brooding warrior with an itchy trigger finger. After assuring some awed inhabitants they aren't Users, AndrAIa and Frisket go seek information, while Matrix sees what repairs can be made to the system. He finds and deletes a virus, gaining a young fan in doing so.
Inside the system's Principle Office, AndrAIa meets what passes for the Command.com, and explains how she and Matrix are able to travel with the games through the use of game sprite icons. Matrix arrives and tells the citizens that should they lose one more game, the system will be lost as well. They two are offered goods to stay and protect the system, but they decline, offering to train others to play the games.
