It starts to get dark as the night crawls upon the land. The shadows hide in the darkness waiting to find victims to grab a hold of once daylight comes around again. As darkness falls, all shapes become solid black and sooon you hear the noises of the evening. The wind blows across the land sending chills to anyone who dares to go outside.
As the light fades into the night, the frogs start to sing their songs with such a deep voice. The songs tell how they love the land. They rejoice for being alive. Even though they are small, they stand tall while singing.
While the frogs sing with such a strong voice, the crickets seem to play what sounds like a violin to them. They keep in tune with the frogs so it sounds like a concert. They sound like a choir to those around them.
The bats fly by to put in a loud, high pitch to show them they are around to participate. The fireflies light up the area so the creatures can see into the night. The fireflies sparkle like glitter as they dance.
As the creatures are putting on their little concert, the owls put in a hoot every once in a while to put a little more rhythm in the song. The night creatures come out and they begin to dance. They dance to the coming of the new morning. |
