| In a far off distance I see you walking toward me with your hands in your jacket pockets with no expressions on your face. In the background I see steam rising and can hear the wolves along with the eagles sounding the alarms. The wolf rushes from your side to tell what has happened while the eagle paints a picture in my mind from up above. The pictures are passing through my mind like water from a rushing stream. The pictures show people running from something that I cannot see. They have the horrified look in their eyes. I almost don't want to look any further, but know that I will, to see what they are scared of. I try to look closer to the images going through my mind, but mind is coming clear. I see darkness and heartache with a big cloud of smoke running through the people. The wolf looks at me and gives a little whimper. He just sits there with a worried look on his face. He tries to give me the reassurance that everything will be just fine in the end, but I am not so sure. I look up to see your looking at me with such sadness in your eyes. The look in your eyes told me that what I saw was true, even though I didn't want it to be. The eagle wanted to fly away but knew that it had a duty to show us what was going on. This time when the pictures flooded my mind I could see them more clearly and what I saw I was not ready for. I saw fire and people were dying before my very eyes. People with their children running from explosions. People were screaming from being so terrified. I saw people being trapped without any hopes of ever getting out alive. How could this ever happen? Why was it happening? And how could someone be so cruel? The lands, along with the people were being destroyed but I couldn't do anything. I felt so helpless with all those running for their lives. I could feel al the hatred in teh world surrounding me at that very moment. There was no way to explain it, but it was not a good feeling. I knew that now that the land was being destroyed, there was no turning back. I just had to move on. I grabbed your hand and we began to walk, with the wolf walking beside us while the eagle flew over us. One day I am hoping that there will be peace throughout the lands with no more killing and all the hatred gone. Some day it will come and hope that I am here to see it pass. |
