Midi Playing "The Dance"

Dedication to Robert!

1963-1996

The song below as you all know well, written by Tony Arata & sung by the very popular Garth Brooks is a very special song that me & my son, Justin want to dedicate to his daddy, Robert J. Savage. My son's father passed away a little over a year ago on August 4th, 1996 at the age of 33 from an aneurysm of the brain. I do look back on the memories and I would never change a thing. Robert was very popular, active & very outgoing throughout his whole life. From football to the Navy till right before he died. Those who have known Robert will tell you just like me that he look's so much like Garth Brooks that sometimes it is like watching Robert singing this song to the both of us. We miss him very much & always will!
To my Robert...I think of you everyday, & keep you close in my heart. Thank you for the love we shared & most of all, thank you for the child we created together. He is so much like you that everytime I look at our son or hold him, I am also holding you. I love you still, very much as I know you are always watching over the both of us. This one's for you Robert!

To my daddy! This is Justin. I just want to say that I love and miss you very much and I think about you all the time. I have a lot of picture's and most of all, memories of the both of us and mom too. I know I will be with you one day up in heaven but untill then, I know you are watching and guiding me. I love you daddy.

The Dance

Looking back on the memory of
The dance we shared 'neath the stars above
For a moment all the world was right
How could I have known that you'd ever say goodbye

And now I'm glad I didn't know
the way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Holding you I held everything
For a moment wasn't I a king
But if I'd only known how the King would fall
Hey whose to say, ya know I might have chanced it all

And now I'm glad I didn't know
The way it all would end, the way it all would go
Our live's are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain
But I'd of had to miss the dance

Yes my life is better left to chance
I could have missed the pain but I'd of had to miss the dance

A thanks to Garth for showing us the dance is more important than the pain!
