hello, my name is
11.26.01
So this is my first entry.

I don't even know if anyone will find this or if I would even direct anyone to it. I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile but who wants to maintain a web page on a 56K modem? Plus, now I have a reason to now that I have this nifty little icon. But I have to think about what I want to put on this so I don't end up creating a lengthy rambling diary that someone will get bored of reading about the time they get *here.* I've always wondered who really reads these things though. I think, how dumb for people to put a diary online. Keeping up with a "real" diary is hard enough, but then again, I would never display here some of the things I'd write in there.

It was nice to go back
home for a few days. For once, I did not try to isolate myself with my family, but made an effort to hang out with friends, including those who are always around in Sacramento. It's easy for me to go back and just want to hang out with my closer friends if they are visiting from school, and I shy away from the others. But ET, Tommy, Carol, and Steph came over to play games and hang out. That was so much fun and it had been awhile since I laughed and relaxed like that with more than one other person. Then on Sunday, I had lunch with a large group of them. It's definitely a different feeling than when I go out with the SFCAC people, and it's not like it just takes time to get used to, because that's how I remember it to be before I left. But I just have to adjust and still love these people and put in the extra effort to get to know them because I will need the spiritual support and fellowship that people in the same age group should get from each other in the church family. It was fun talking to Steve about capoeira and Muay Thai ("'Do you know Alex Gong?' That's like saying 'Do you know Jackie Chan?'") and riding around in Kit's chick-mobile with the cool mp3 player and collecting blood squares for lunch. .

I feel dumb doing this, but maybe it will come in handy when I move away and then people can just check in regularly to read about my adventures.
