Maybe it was because I didn't have a car here for awhile, maybe because it was my first time living away from home and I wanted to explore everything, or maybe it was just truly a magnificent city--in any case, I feel like I know the city so well. There's Market Street, looking from Castro (the rainbow flag), the capoeira school off to the side somewhere in there, the Mint Building, City Hall, Transamerica, Bay Bridge, and then the Ferry Building at the very end of Market Street...I love San Francisco!! And to quote Will Smith, "a playground where I spent most of my days..."
visions of a sentimental sap

I hate when things become memories because that means they are part of the past...they are referred to as the "good ol' times." Old friends, familiar faces and places...they are locked inside your heart and when something triggers your memory to recall them, you are filled with nostalgia. Below are some pictures that are locked inside my heart...and there are also some miscellaneous ones that I just wanted to put on here.
This is not one of the memory pictures I was referring to above, but isn't it just the cutest thing??! There's my kid in the green bug, inherited from mom. (Yeah right, like my kid's going to get my bug! hehe...)
I have no idea who these two guys are, but this was taken in the Fairtex Daly City building, where Q. and I took Muay Thai for 3 months. Quite a short time, but 2-3 times a week, we'd sweat it out there, sneaking peeks up to the offices on the 2nd floor to see if our hero A. was present. My morning office job was right around the corner from this place...and Krispy Kreme, In N Out, Q's place, and our favorite drink place was within minutes away.
A panoramic view in front of our pousada from this past weekend...
a Brazil memory that I will look back on fondly.
Roda de capoeira with Omulu Capoeira in SF...with whom I spent many days and nights. Just going to the web site and seeing pictures from the batizado a few months ago makes me really sad and I long to be back...but I know realistically it won't happen. Sometimes you know when that phase of life is over for you...
A beautiful picture of San Francisco. I love how the Palace of Fine Arts, especially with its nighttime lights, and I love the Transamerica Building, although at one time, I wanted it to fall over and crush Marin's office since we were located right next to it. heheh...
