My WLS Journey
I am 34 yrs old. I have been married to my husband for 15 yrs and have 2 handsome sons. I started my battle with weight when I was about 10 yrs old. When I decided to get married, I wanted to look good in a wedding gown so I quit eating. Literally. I only ate once a week for 3 months. I lost the weight and my wedding gown is a size 10. Six months after I got married I found out we were gonna have a baby. Well that meant I had to start eating again. I havent seen a size 10 since then. I started thinking about WLS in 2002.I have many medical problems that are aggitated by my weight.I cannot exercise or play with my boys without pain or shortness of breath. My doctor thinks this surgery is a good idea for me. So here I am now and my surgery is scheduled for August 24th.

Well I went to the doctor on Friday to get my test results from the stress test, and the doctor told me that I have to go and see a cardiologist. That my stress test came back abnormal. He told me that he recommended putting of the surgery until I consult with someone about my heart. This is really disappointing to me. But I am still hopeful. I go to the doctor on Tuesday to see what is going on with the test results. I will update later. I hope everyone has a happy 4th of July.

Well I went to the doctor today and have a heart catherazation scheduled for this Friday. The doctor said that the good thing about this is that whatever they seen is small. I guess I will update when I know is going on. There was one good thing I have lost 8 pounds!
