Dragons fly amid the air,
Griffins are not cuddly bears,
When you mix the two together,
What is lost, the scale or feather?

Sharpest talons, gleaming light,
They won't go down without a fight,
T'was  humor that escaped the two,
The griffin with her solitude.
The dragon's reason no one knows
"You were not there, you do not know."

Too bad dragons and griffins don't mix,
The good thing is they can take their "licks."
This was written by my friend Sid Ney. This was also the only entry I recieved for the poetry contest. I'll have to come up with something better next time.
