Alone
The waiting takes a toil,
as I
sit here wondering,
going back and
forth in my mind.
Experiencing
one emotion after another, anxious,
and sometimes afraid that you
won't come for me.
Hoping that
you feel as much for me,
as I feel and long for you.
We are our own worse enemies,
locked within the recesses of out
minds
ours fears outweighing our
senses,
insecurities playing havoc with feelings
as I wait, wonder, anticipate.
Afraid, alone, being abandoned by
you.
The time is passing and
still I sit, waiting, alone,
wondering what have I done?
Unaware, isolated within my own mind.
Are these tears streaming
down my
face?
These sobs that are shaking me
where did they come from?
Crying, pain coursing thru me,
where were you when I needed
you?
I feel as a child,
panic stricken,
wondering what have I
done?
Afraid, shaken to my very core,
and here I sit again.
Alone.
