Math
Math in first grade is full of many new concepts  taught in a differentiated, hands-on, concrete to abstract way. Every new unit is built upon a familiar concept. From there, we work with manipulatives to help the children establish a foundation of the concept.  Below are the concepts we will learn in first grade.
In addition to the concepts below, we visit the calendar every morning and review much math through daily repitition. The calendar lasts 15 minutes and math lasts 45 minutes, totalling an hour of math instruction.
