| Faerie Mound Dance
By: Pam Parker Do not sleep upon the mossy raised ground, Tho it bring you dreams filled with delight Do not sleep upon the Faerie mound Especially upon Midsummer's night. Sweet passionate dreams will enfold you As you dance merrily with the Fae And deepest desires will all come true, But darkest Night will n'er become day. For those who tarry o'rlong with the Sidhe Will never to mortal life return. Tween time and place will forever be The bode of those who to Faerie yearn. Do not sleep upon the mossy raised ground, Tho your heart doth burn for Faerie sight Do not sleep upon the Faerie mound Especially upon Midsummer's night. We do not believe in ourselves until someone reveals that deep inside us something is valuable, worth listening to, worthy of our trust, sacred to our touch. Once we believe in ourselves we can risk curiosity, wonder, spontaneous delight or any experience that reveals the human spirit.-- e. e. cummings |
