Colors GOD must love the color blue, for the beauty of the sky, its reflection on the waters; GOD must love the color green, for the grass and the leaves, in their multi-hued splendor; GOD must love the color brown, from dust to sand, to the rich, deep loam; GOD must love the rainbow, for the sign in the sky, the rain is over for today; GOD must love HIS children, for the blood HIS SON had shed, was of the color . . . red. Remember the Flowers Remember the flowers; we grow and nurture them, and marvel at their beauty; But, remember the first from whence the seeds came; For men cannot make the flowers or the rain; But GOD gave them to us to marvel at their beauty, and to praise and honor HIM, for HE made us as well. Trades I have traded the chains of toil for industry, the knowledge of work for independence, the silence of rebuke for accomplishment, the abuse of mind for dignity of spirit, the pain of self for peace, the neglect of self for GOD's love, and found a tortured soul can still dream. Mantis Quiet; Stillness. Pray. Alert! Movement; Prey!
A Poem of September 11, 2001 In ash and ruin towers of man lie, In a five sided building, and a lonely field. The final resting place of the brave, of men strong to save their fellow man, those hoping to do their job, and many on silver wing. To those who would twist their faith, beware! America remembers and to all terrorists, cease. We may be stunned and we may cry, but GOD sustains us. Let's Roll! Those on the flight were edgy, Knowing something was wrong; Planes had made the twin towers, Into funeral pyres for thousands; That another had crashed, Into an ediface of military might; As they called to their loved ones, To say their last goodbyes; They vowed there'd be no others, To have to pay the price; Let's Roll . . . Now let us ever be wary, To prevent terror at all cost; We are all on the front lines, No matter what our call, Support those who fight for Freedom, At home and abroad! Let's Roll . . .
Toddler Wait for me mama, my steps are faltering, and not too sure; I want to walk with you. Before you held me safe in your arms; now I can go on my own but I still need you to make sure my path, and ease my way. Lullaby Don't cry little baby, don't cry precious one; Your Mama loves you dearly, as does the Lord above! Don't cry little baby, don't cry precious one; Your Father watches o'er you, as does the Lord above! Don't cry little baby, don't cry precious one; you have friends and loved ones, and the Lord above!
