| FLIGHT Today I thought of ribbons of music and sound Ribbons of color stretched out on the ground They captured my heart, they surrounded my soul I touched and I tied and made a bright bow I followed their path to the heavens above And there I did find you, my only true love I heard you today in the back of my mind A wispy small voice in my heart was entwined I reached for your hand and it held me so tight I held onto that image with all of my might Sound filled the air like the beat of a drum It beat and it pulsed and it begged me to come My heart it took flight and into the air it arose Filling my soul with such light and this prose I held it quite tight then set it all free And music surrounded each part of me I wished to fly over the land to your side To be there, to stand there, with nowhere to hide To stand in that place with the wind in my hair To speak and to touch and do more then I dare Is your music different today? Is it happy somehow? Can you hear me and see me there with you now? How could this happen? How could it possibly be? Thousands of verses have all been suddenly set free Is it you? Are you there? Do you hear me, my dear? Be calm, be happy, you've nothing to fear The search at long last has come to an end I am here, so are you, my love and dear friend - M.B.
