WAVING TEXTURE TUTORIAL




    PREPARING
  1. Open tube
  2. Duplicate tube (Shift D) and close original
  3. Chose a light color from tube as foreground color (material box)
  4. Chose a dark color from tube as background color (material box)
  5. Edit - Copy
  6. Minimize Tube

    BACKGROUND
  7. File � New Image (1280x400, transparent)
  8. Selections � Select all
  9. Edit � Paste � Paste into selection
  10. Selections � Select none
  11. Layers � New raster layer
  12. In your toolbox use your floodfill tool to fill your new layer
    with your foreground color
  13. Layers � Arrange � Send to bottom
  14. Layers � Merge � Merge visible
  15. Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: default
  16. Adjust � Blur � Gaussian blur: Radius of 25
  17. Effects � Texture � Texturizer: settings



    Texture: Canvas, Scaling: 130, Relief: 6, Light direction: top right
    Invert checked.
  18. Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: default
  19. Optional: lower the opacity of this layer if necessary
  20. In your toolbox go to your Selection Tool
  21. In your presets chose Custom Selection



  22. In your custom selection chose: Top: 0. Left: 0,
    Bottom: 400, Right: 100
  23. Layers � New raster layer
  24. Floodfill (toolbox) with your foreground colour
  25. Effects � Texture � Texturizer: same settings as before.
  26. Selections � Select none
  27. Effects � 3d effects � Inner bevel: with these settings



  28. Effects � Image effects � Seamless Tiling:



    Settings: Edge, Vertical must be checked, Width: 51 and
    Transition: 50.
  29. Effects � 3d effects � Drop shadow: Horizontal &
    Vertical: 4, Opacity: 50, Blur: 15, shadow on separate
    layer checked.
  30. In your toolbox go to Raster Deform tool and chose
    deformation.
  31. You can drag lines horizontal: upward and downwards
    to avoid an interruption of your shadow line
  32. Activate your top layer again. If asked to reset the deform
    tool you can answer yes.
  33. Now go back to Selections in your toolbox
  34. In your presets box chose custom selection with : Top: 20,
    Left: 20, Right: 80 and Bottom: 380
  35. Layers � New raster layer
  36. Floodfill with your background colour (floodfill tool)
  37. Effects � Texture � Texturizer: same settings as before..
  38. Effects � 3d effects � Inner bevel: same settings as before
  39. Effects � Distortion effects � Wave: these settings:



    Settings: Horizontal: Amplitude: 2, Wavelength: 15, Vertical:
    Amplitude: 3, Wavelength: 6, Transparent checked.
    Variation: use default settings instead of the ones mentioned above.
  40. Effects � 3d effects � Inner bevel: same settings as before
  41. Selections � Select none
  42. Optional: Effects � Texture � Texturizer: same settings as before.
  43. Optional: Effects - 3d effects � Dropshadow: settings: horizontal &
    Vertical: 4, Opacity: 50, Blur: 15 , Dropshadow on a new layer
    not checked.
  44. Edit � Paste � Paste as New Layer
  45. With your mover tool move your tube to the left and position nicely
  46. Optional: Effects � Texture � Texturizer: same settings as before.
  47. Effects � 3d Effects- Dropshadow: same settings
  48. Layers � New raster layer
  49. Add your watermark
  50. Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)
  51. File � Export: JPEG Optimizer with compression of 22-25

    FINISHING
  52. Open your Letter Creator
  53. In your Body open your background and tile
  54. In your Footer put your credits
  55. Finish
