SUNNY SPOKES TUTORIAL




    PREPARING
  1. Open tube, width/height maximum 320 px.
  2. Duplicate tube (Shift D) and close original
  3. Choose a light colour from tube and select it as fore-
    ground colour in the material box
  4. Choose a darker colour from tube and select it as
    background colour in the material box
  5. Edit - Copy
  6. Minimize Tube

    BACKGROUND TILE
  7. File � New � New Image: 400x400
  8. Selections � Select all
  9. Edit � Paste � Paste into Selection
  10. Selections � Select None
  11. Layers � New raster layer
  12. Floodfill with light foreground color
  13. Layers � Arrange � Send to bottom
  14. Layers � Merge � Merge all (Flatten)
  15. Effects � Image Effects � Seamless tiling: default
  16. Adjust � Blur � Gaussian Blur: radius of 25
  17. Effects � Filter Factory E � Gradient/Spokes Ratio Maker:
    these settings:



    Gradient/Spokes: 80
  18. Effects � Texture Effects: Blinds: with these settings:
    Width: 6, Opacity: 50, , Color: choose your background color.
    Horizontal NOT checked. Light from top: checked.
  19. Repeat Blinds but now with Horizontal checked.
  20. Effects � Image effects � Seamless Tiling: settings:
    Mirror and Bidirectional checked, Horizontal & Vertical offset: 0,
    Width: 50.
  21. Selections � Select all
  22. Selections � Modify � Contract: number of pixels: 15
  23. ?Effects � 3d effects � Dropshadow: Vertical & Horizontal: 3,
    Opacity: 45, Blur: 15 and Color: Black
  24. Effects � 3d effects � Dropshadow: Vertical & Horizontal: - 3,
    Opacity: 45, Blur: 15 and Color: Black
  25. Selections � Select None
  26. Effects � 3d Effects � Inner Bevel: with these settings:



    Bevel: 2, Smoothness: 0, Width: 4, Depth: 4, Ambiance: 0,
    Shininess: 0, Corner: 315, Intensity: 50 and Elevation: 30
  27. Duplicate: Shift � D
  28. Image � Resize � Resize to 50 % (bicubic, all layers
    checked)
  29. Minimize

    BACKGROUND TUBE
  30. Activate the original background tile
  31. Image � Resize � Resize to 90 %
  32. Edit � Paste � Paste as New layer
  33. Effects � 3d Effects � Dropshadow: Vertical and Horizontal: 3,
    Opacity: 45, Blur: 15 and Color: Black
  34. Layers � New raster layer
  35. Add your watermark
  36. Layers � Merge � Merge all
  37. Edit � Copy
  38. You can close this image

    BACKGROUND
  39. File � New � New image: 1280 x 400, transparent
  40. Go to your material pallet and put your background color
    (box) to pattern



  41. Click once to open your Material Properties box.
  42. Choose your settings: angle 0, scale 100,
  43. Choose your background tile as pattern
  44. Floodfill the background with your pattern
  45. Layers � New raster layer
  46. Floodfill this layer with your foreground color
  47. Put the opacity of this layer to 50 - 90, the
    spokes should still be visible. I used 78.
  48. Layers � Merge � Merge All (Flatten)
  49. Edit � Paste � Paste as New Layer
  50. Move tube to the left with your mover tool
  51. Position the square nicely
  52. Optional :Effects � 3d effects � Dropshadow: Vertical
    and Horizontal: 3, Opacity: 45, Blur: 15 and color: black
    And repeat then with Vertical and Horizontal -3.
  53. Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)

    FINISHING
  54. File � Export � PJEG Optimizer: compression of 22
  55. Open Letter Creator
  56. File � open your letter
  57. Tile in your body
  58. Mention your credits in your footer
  59. Finish

VARIATION You can leave the blinds behind and the result will look
like the next example.

Compare it to example 1 on top to see the difference with and
without blinds.
