SIMPLE GLASS TUTORIAL


An easy tutorial with a nice glittery result. Quick and
easy! Suitable as background for most tubes!




    PREPARING
  1. Open tube, height maximum: 360 px.
  2. Duplicate tube (Shift D) and close original
  3. Chose a light colour from tube and select it as foreground
    colour in the material box
  4. Edit - Copy
  5. Minimize Tube

    BACKGROUND TILE
  6. File � New Image (400x400, transparent)
  7. Selections � Select all
  8. Edit � Paste - Paste into Selection
  9. Selections � Select none
  10. Layers � New layer (raster)
  11. Floodfill layer with light foreground color
  12. Layers � Arrange � Send to bottom
  13. Layers � Merge � Merge visible
  14. Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: default
  15. Adjust � Blur � Gaussian blur: radius of 25
  16. Effects � Texture effects - Mosaic - Glass: default
  17. Effects - Image effects - Seamless tiling: default
  18. Your background tile is now ready, minimize

    BACKGROUND
  19. File � New Image (1280 x 400, transparent)
  20. Go to your material pallet and put your background color
    (box) to pattern



  21. Chose your settings: angle 0, scale 100,
  22. Chose your background tile as pattern
  23. Flood fill the Background with your pattern
  24. Edit � Paste � Paste as New Layer
  25. With your Mover Tool in Toolbox move the tube to
    the left corner and position it nicely.
  26. Layers � Duplicate
  27. Click on the eye to close visibility of top layer
  28. Activate your second layer
  29. Effects � Texture effects � Mosaic Glass: default
  30. Effects � Image Effects � Seamless tiling: settings:
    Edge and Vertical checked, Width: 51 and Transition: 50


  31. Unlock visibility of the top layer (click the eye again)
  32. Activate your top layer
  33. Image � Resize � Resize to 90 %, bicubic, Resize all
    layers not checked
  34. Position nicely
  35. Effects � 3d Effects � Drop shadow: settings:
    Horizontal & Vertical: 3, Opacity: 40 and Blur: 15
  36. Layers � New raster layer
  37. Add your watermark
  38. Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)
  39. File � Export: JPEG Optimizer with compression of 20-25

    FINISHING
  40. Open Letter Creator
  41. In your Body open your background
  42. In your body tile
  43. In your Footer mention your credits
  44. Finish
