SHINY SINGLE FLOWER TUTORIAL





    PREPARING
  1. Open tube, , height maximum: 380 px. (taller than wider
    works the best).
  2. Duplicate tube (Shift D) twice
  3. Close original
  4. Minimize one copy
  5. Chose a light color from tube and select it as foreground
    color in the materialbox
  6. Edit - Copy
  7. Minimize also this copy of the tube

    BACKGROUND TILE
  8. File - New image: 200 x 200, transparant
  9. Selections � Select all
  10. Edit � Paste into Selection
  11. Selections � Select none
  12. Layers � New layer (raster)
  13. Floodfill layer with light foreground color
  14. Layers � arrange � send to bottom
  15. Layers � Merge � Merge visible
  16. Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling (default)
  17. Adjust � Blur � Gaussian Blur � radius of 15
  18. Effects: Filter Factory C: Evanescence:

    settings: Depth: 165
  19. Effects � Edge Effects � Enhance (More)
  20. Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: default
  21. Minimize background tile
  22. Activate your first tube copy and resize to height of 150
    Wide will adjust.
  23. Edit � Copy
  24. Activate your background tile
  25. Edit � Paste as a new layer
  26. Change the opacity of this new layer to 15-30
  27. Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)
  28. Your background tile is now ready
  29. Minimize

    BACKGROUND
  30. File � New Image (1280 x 400, transparent)
  31. Go to your material pallet and put your background color (box) to pattern

  32. Chose your settings: angle 0, scale 100

  33. your background tile as pattern
  34. Floodfill (floodfill tool in toolbox) background with your
    pattern
    POINTS 34 � 37 ARE OPTIONAL. LIGHT COLORS DON�T
    NEED AN OPACITY LAYER. IF YOUR BACKGROUND TILE
    IS LIGHT OF COLOR AND TEXT FRIENDLY ENOUGH,
    PLEASE SKIP POINT 34-37 AND CONTINUE WITH 38 !
  35. Layers � New Raster Layer
  36. Floodfill with your light foregroundcolor
  37. Lower opacity of this layer to: 50-80. I used 61
  38. Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)
  39. Activate your other copy of the tube
  40. Edit � Copy
  41. Close this copy
  42. Activate your background
  43. Edit � Paste as a new layer
  44. Move with your mover tool to the left
  45. Optional: Effects � 3d Effects: Inner bevel of :

    settings: bevel 2, width: 4, smoothness: 0, depth: 4, ambience: 0
    shininess: 0, angle: 315, intensity: 50, elevation: 30
  46. Effects � 3d Effects: Dropshadow with these settings:
    horizontal & vertical: 4, opacity: 65, blur: 12, black
  47. Layers � new raster layer: add your watermark
  48. Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)

    FINISHING
  49. File � Export � JPEG Optimizer (between 22-26)
  50. In Letter Creator open your background in Body
  51. Tile in your Body
  52. Chose matching color for the text, chose margins
  53. Don�t forget your credits in your footer
  54. Finish
    Another example: no flower:

    You can also do this tutorial with a different kind of image,
    but best is to keep the tube you use simple and rather light.
