FURRY STARS TUTORIAL




    PREPARING
  1. Open tube, height maximum: 350 pixels
  2. Duplicate tube (Shift D) and close original
  3. Choose a light color from tube and select it as foreground color
    in the material box
  4. Choose a darker color as background color
  5. Edit � Copy
  6. Minimize your tube

    BACKGROUND TILE
  7. File � New Image: 400 x 400, transparent
  8. Selections � Select All
  9. Edit � Paste into Selection
  10. Selections � Select none
  11. Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: default
  12. Layers � New raster layer
  13. Floodfill with your foreground or background color
  14. Layers � Arrange � Move down
  15. Layers � Merge � Merge All (Flatten)
  16. Adjust � Blur � Gaussian blur: radius of 25
  17. Effects � Mehdi � Fur: these settings:



    Density: 60, Length: 20

  18. Effects � Image effects � Seamless Tiling: default settings
  19. Your background tile is ready, minimize

    BACKGROUND
  20. File � New Image: 1280 x 400, transparent
  21. In your background box in your Materials Box change color
    to pattern
  22. Click in the color box and search for your pattern.
  23. Settings: Angle: 0, Scale: 100
  24. Floodfill your new image with your pattern
  25. Layers � New raster layer
  26. Floodfill with your light foreground color
  27. In your layer palette lower the opacity of your new layer so
    you can still see the pattern, but to make it more text friendly. I
    used 20, 46, 50, It depends of the brightness of the colors.
  28. Layers � Merge � Merge visible
  29. Edit � Paste � Paste as new layer
  30. With your mover tool move your tube to the left
  31. Effects � 3d effects � Dropshadow: Vertical & Horizontal: 3,
    Opacity: 40, Blur: 10 and Color: black.
  32. In your toolbox select your Symmetric Shape Tool (STAR)
  33. In your presets choose for mode: your Star or Draw Stellated,
    Create on Vector, Number of sides: 5, radius of 38, width: 1.
    Line style: solid line.
  34. In your background box your pattern should still be visible.
  35. In your foreground color box you can choose a catching color
    from your tube.
  36. Draw several stars at the left side. Your tube will be placed
    over the stars later, but use the tube so that later your stars will
    be at least partly showing from behind the tube.
    You might want to lower the opacity of the tube layer, but
    don�t forget to put it back to 100 after you have placed the stars.

  37. (star layer activated) Layers � Convert to raster layer
  38. Effects � 3d effects � Inner bevel: settings



    Bevel: 2, Width: 2, Smoothness: 0, Depth: 2. Ambience: 0,
    Shininess: 0, Angle: 315, Intensity: 50 and Elevation: 30

  39. Effects � Mehdi � Fur: settings: Density: 20, Length: 12 �
  40. Layers � Arrange � Move down



    Now you see the stars peeping out behind the tube.
  41. Activate your top layer
  42. Layers � New raster layer
  43. Add your watermark
  44. Layers � Merge � Merge all (Flatten)
  45. File � Export � JPEG Optimizer: compression of 22

    FINISHING
  46. Open Letter Creator
  47. In your Body open your background
  48. Tile in your Body
  49. In your Footer mention your credits
  50. Finish
