EASY FRITILLARY TUTORIAL
NEEDED:
- PSP
- Letter Creator
- Tube of your choice: maximum size (height or width) of 330
- Plugin Xero: fritillary
- Plugin Texturizer

LEVEL:
Advanced Beginner with basic knowledge of making a tutorial and the
use of filters
PREPARING
- Open your tube
- Select a light color for your foreground color (materialbox)
- Select a darker matching color for your background color
- Duplicate your tube (shift-D)
- Close the original tube
- Edit � Copy
- Minimize your copy of the tube
BACKGROUND TILE
- File � New � New image: 400 x 400
- In your material box put your background color to gradient
- In your material properties box (one click) chose foreground-
background, angle: 45, repeats: 1
- Floodfill your image with your gradient
- Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: default settings
- Effects � Xero effects � Fritillary with these settings:
Granuality: 8, Agression: 25, Tessalation: 12, Variation: 6
- Effects � Filters Unlimited 2.0 � Distortion Filters � Warp
Vertical:
settings: Amplitude: 103, Frequency 1: 48. Frequency 2: 90
- Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: settings:
Mirror checked, Bidirectional checked, linear checked
Horizontal & vertical offset: 0, Transition: 50
- Your tile is now ready, minimize
BACKGROUND
- File � New � New Image: 1280x400
- In your material box put your gradient to pattern
- Material Properties (one click), Angle: 0, Scale:100.
Chose
your tile
- Floodfill your image with your pattern by using your
floodfill tool (toolbox)
- Minimize
TUBE IMAGE
- Activate your copy of the tube
- Image � Canvas Size: add 30 pixels to both height and
width, placement center/middle
In case of a really small tube add a bit to the number of pixels
you use if you prefer
- Layers � New raster layer
- Put your background in your material box back to gradient
- Floodfill your layer with your gradient
- Effects � Filters Unlimited 2.0 - Distortion filters � Warp
Vertical: same settings
- Effects � Image effects � Seamless tiling: same settings
as before
- Layers � Arrange � Send to bottom
- Activate your tube layer
- Effects � 3d effects � Dropshadow: Horizontal & vertical: 4,
Opacity: 55, Blur: 18
- Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)
- Effects � 3d effects � Inner bevel:
Bevel: 2, Width: 4, Smoothness: 0, Depth: 4, Ambience: 0,
Shininess: 0, Angle: 315, Intensity: 50, Elevation: 30
- Edit � Copy
- Activate your background
- Edit � Paste � Paste as New Layer
- With your mover tool (tool box) move to the left and position
it nicely
- Effects � 3d effects � Dropshadow: same settings as before
- Repeat this dropshadow but now with horizontal & vertical: -4
- Layers � New raster layer
- Add your watermark
- Layers � Merge � Merge all (flatten)
FINISHING
- File � Export: JPEG Optimizer with compression of 22-25
- In Letter Creator in your Body open your background and tile
- Chose a matching text color and place margins
- In your Footer mention your credits
- Finish
