| These are pictures taken making Lefse - a family tradition and favorite with my family, along with my grandma and mom! Grandma is in heaven and this is a tribute to her and my Norwegian heritage. |

| After watching Grandma, the master at it, Joshua thought, "Hmmm, this can not be so hard!" He has been helping with Lefse day ever since - he thinks his are the best too! |

| Grandma's Lefse Recipe |
| 4 c. riced cooked potatoes 2 tsp. sugar 1/4 c. butter 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 c. cream 3 cups flour Boil potatoes until done. Rice or mash well. While hot, add butter, cream sugar and salt. Let cool. Add flour. Make small balls and roll thin on floured board with pastry coth. Roll onto rolling pin (we use a lefse stick) and transfer onto hot heavy griddle. Cook until lightly brown but not crisp. Serve with butter - add sugar, or use to roll up and have a sandwich. You will not be satisfied with one! |
