My then spouse, considered Johnny Mathis an adversary simply because Johnny was someone I admired. (We were always at odds about one thing or another) and one of them was the type of recreation we each preferred. I chose theatre, plays, shows ---what he called sedentary pleasure, while he proclaimed to like hiking, camping...the great outdoors. When I found out that Johnny was performing at the outdoor theatre--Poplar Creek, that featured picnic/blanklet areas on the grassy knolls, I thought this to be the perfect way to combine our entertainment passions. However, I neglected to share my Avon's Skin-so-soft oil (a great mosquito repellent) with my ex. Maybe if he had chose not to spend the better part of the concert saying negative things about Johnny, I might have spared him a few drops. I certainly would have given Johnny Mathis the whole bottle, if I were allowed on stage, because the mosquitoes and night flies were attacking him too. Oh Well! I enjoyed the concert, Johnny.; You were in the best of voice.
