06/22/02:Thats it, Ive finally done it! My fat and now gimpy ass got a little too rowdy at the Chain Reaction show and I broke my wrist, doctors say it will take at least 6 weeks to heal (probably more). Compliments of the Lady Killers I got a cast! But as soon as it heals Ill be getting rowdy again. Much love to Keith and the boys, the show was a blast!
06/06/02:Well lets start this update nice and proper....Kiss my ass Joe! That said we can now move on. (as in the joke is getting old and Im beating it to death...as usual) How much do we love Mike Weinnie?? Yes he shaves his balls and yes we love him enough to announce it to all of you, but most of all we love him because he ripped the LadyKillers CD and put it on mp3.com so please if you haven't heard it already feel free to down load the songs on mp3.com/the_ladykillers The songs that are available currently are The Searchers and On the Edge. So thank you Mike from Fenway Park (who linked his bands site to it, so check it out). And last but not least, I am sorry to David Williams for making you spill alcohol all over your self and Mary. I love you much kid!
05/13/02: Fuck! I just updated this thing like 4 days ago and here I am again now. But we got some huge news.... no no Joe Garel didn't die (if he did you'd see the celebrations on tv) but what you can see on tv is the Lady Killers. Also another piece of news and the whole reason for me babbling away less than a week after my last dribble on to this screen is that the Lady Killers will be opening up for the Groovie Ghoulies at the Chain Reaction Monday June 17th. Have you ever seen a fat man beg?? Well here it is, for all that is holy please come out to this show! (for all you pansies that missed the final showcase showdown this is you chance to make up for it) We could really use the support to show that the Lady Killers don't fuck around (except for Geoff he is a man-whore, like Joe's Mom everyone has had a piece of him!) So please come out and watch me get my ass kicked if nothing else. Much love, I'm done.
05/09/02: Well The Killers played some fantastic shows. The Cobalt Cafe show was packed with all our friends and fans and even though the sound quality wasn't great at that place the crowd didn't seem to mind. A special thanks goes out to Fenway Park for coming down and entertaining all of us. I hope to see them again soon. As for the last and final Showcase Showdown, the boys put on a peak performance we didn't have as many of the fans there, but they put on a fantastic show anyways. I hope all of you liked the new songs, Im sure there will be more to come. Until next time, keep your eyes on that show "Resurrection Blvd." cause the Lady Killers will be on one of the new episodes and their song "His Life" will be played through out the episode as well. Its the Lady Killers television debut so keep your eyes open for it, when they're rich and famous you can say "hey I saw you guys on ..." Just remember kids, just cause a guy is in a three piece suit and a hat doesn't mean he won't bust your lip open!
04/12/02: These kids are absolutely insane, one would think that with 25 songs already under their belt they might take a break from writing new songs. Well apparently not. The boys are at it again so Im sure we can expect to see a couple new songs at the next shows including a new dirty little jem called "American Grave". It will be a favorite Im sure. Speaking of up coming shows The Killers are playing the Cobalt Cafe in Canoga Park and will have advance tickets available for the finals of the Showcase battle of the bands. So pick up your tickets and your copy of the new CD. Oh yea and Joe, watch your ass cause I'm gonna smoke it.
03/31/02: Well we all made it home and finally spent a night in our own beds. Ah..... our own beds. In Santa Cruz we played with Thompson Submachine, and my hat goes off to Keith and his band for putting on one hell of a show (even though there was only like 20 people). Thank you to Keith, CJ and Ben for putting us all up for two nights. We had a blast. As for Phoenix thank you to Jesse for throwing the biggest party I have personally been to since high school and letting the Lady Killers rock that empty house full of 200+ drunks. Also thank you to Geoff's mom for letting us crash at your house. All in all we had a blast, 1700 miles in six days was a complete success. We all needed a week of fun and that is exactly what we got. Also thank you Dave and Ryan for driving the whole trip you are both my hero.
03/23/02: The tour which has now been dubbed "The Vacation" is becoming just that, more and more of a vacation and less and less of a tour. The shows that were booked in Reno and Las Vegas were both cancelled, so currently the tour consists of 3 shows: Anahiem, Santa Cruz, and Phoenix. But the days in between will no doubt be an enjoyable vacation, one that all of us need. The CD will be available at the Anahiem show for five bucks (don't quote me on that price). The 4 song e.p. includes: That Shot, Searchers, His Life, and On the Edge. So buy it, put it in your car, and pump your fists out the window. In other news, Joe Garel's arm was injured at the showcase show and apparently now his drunkin' baseball career is over. If you can't stand the heat keep your hands off my ass Joe!
02/21/02:Today the Ladykillers went into the studio to record some songs for an album which will be hopefully available at one of the upcoming shows (either the Showcase or the Chain Reaction). Also the Ladykillers will be going on a small west coast tour after the show at the Chain Reaction on the 24th. We hope to hit Santa Cruz, San Fransisco, Sacramento, Reno, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and San Diego. Check back for scheduled dates on that upcoming tour.
