| I stand before you today, not as a Hero or defender of Justice.
Not as a leader of brave beings of all shapes and colors. No, I stand before you as an ordinary citizen. You may look at the people around you and say that you are nothing alike. That you have othing in common. But I say you have EVERYTHING in common! Each and every one of you has something to lose. Something you hold dear, someone you love more than life itself. Hero. Villain. Civilian. These are just words. What matters most is our actions. Each of us will be given a choice soon. Neither road will be easy. Neither path will be free of pain. However choose you must. We are at War. War with a foe that knows no mercy. With a enemy that has but one objective. The complete and utter fall of mankind! Now you may think to yourself, its not my fight. Let the Heroes work it out. You may ask yourself, why not let the Aliens destroy the corruption in the world. That is one path, and if you walk it you will walk alone. You may be spared the pain and sorrow in the coming days and weeks. You may profit from the chaos they breed and live to see yet one more day. You may� You may wish to fight for your rights as beings of free will. You may wish to stand toe to toe with the toughest adversary you have ever faced, or will face again If you walk this way, you will never fight alone. If you can�t walk we will help carry you. And when we can no longer carry you we will stand beside you to the end. This way will lead to hardship. Through it all pain and hurt will be your constant companions. You may not survive to see the end of the battle. You may� Now I ask you why would anyone choose the path that leads to the fight. Why not run away while we can, hide from those that would do us harm. Live to fight another day. Why? I ask now that all heroes stand up and be seen. Look around you, I see some of the finest people I have had the good fortune to team with and to fight evil with. Keep standing but would all the Villains stand too. Some of the most fiercesome fighters the world has ever know stand before us now. I see the most cunning minds, the staunchest foes, the most dangerous beings alive. Civilians, stand as well and be counted. You have seen us wage war amongst ourselves for years. You have seen the destruction and damage we have done in our struggles against each other and you have rebuilt your City each and every time. Now I want everyone to look to the person beside them. We don�t seem so different now. You may think the coming war won�t affect you, but I say look to the person on your right. Look to the person on your left. What happens to one of us, happens to the rest. I ask you to stand beside me. I ask you to say with me that we will not run. We will draw the line in the sand here and shout to our invaders as one! We will not hide! We will stand here! We will fight here! They will fall here! Stand with me now, Citizens of a Free World! Stand with me! Together will shall hold them back. Together we shall WIN! |
