Anza-Borrego State National Park
aka my trip to the desert
This is my mom and me and behind us is the desert...the whole she-bang.  Anzo is the largest national park at like 600,000 square miles i think. Most of it is sandy desert, but there are some green down below and those are where the towns are. They have a population of 3,000...that's like the population of my school here. haha
This is the campgrounds.  Our tiny green tent and picnic table with food and stuff.  Awesome view tho, huh?  I loved how the shadows danced on the mountains at dusk and dawn...this is in the morning.  It was cool coz everything was so simple and just so not-urbany...ya know?
haha, my mom had a blast feeding the ants food.  she was serious about feeding them stating that they could live off of the food for months!! I think she felt a little like Mother Theresa to these ants. =)

(below) These were cool ants, not like the annoying tiny house ants.  there were some fire ants too.  We had an ant hole right under our picnic table...my mom stepped in it =(  she and the ants where happy about that.
