My Own Cage
I find myself in a cage
like a bird
with wounded wings I thrash about
going everywhere
but nowhere
i smash along the wire bars
I am broken, in a rage
I ignore the pain and scream with all my might
fighting desperately to reclaim my freedom
the freedom the cage stole when I put myself in it.
