Chapter Five

Next Day (Monday)

Erin sat in the sun reading the book Sonny had sent her.  There was a nock at the door.  “Yes?”

“A Miss Carelson too see you,” Sam said opening the door.

“Thanx San.  Show her in.” Erin got up and walked to the door.

“Hey Erin.  How are ya doin’?”  Miss Carelson was a tall gangly woman in her late twenties.

“I’m going good.  Lots better now that you are here.  I was starting to go stir crazy.  I haven’t left this apartment seance I got here except to go see Jason and that’s just across that hall.”

“Why?”

“I don’t want some stranger walking me around like some poor lost child.  Anyway they probably would forget to tell me what they see.”

“Okay we will go out and do something latter.  But first I want to see the work that I assigned you to do.  You’ve had plenty of time to do it so I expect it to be perfect.”

“Don’t you always?”  Erin joked.

“I only expect perfection because I know you can do it.”

“Yah what ever you say.  My stuff it upstairs.  We can have the lessons in the living room or in the study.  Which do you prefer?”

“Wow, you have a study?”

“Yah, Jason set me up pretty well.  This place is huge.  Would you do me a favor?” Erin asked quietly.

“Sure, what?”

“Can you tell me what the rooms look like?”

“Of course,” Miss Carelson said affectionately.

They moved from room to room with Miss Carelson describing in detail everything in the room.  When they finished with the last room Miss Carelson turned to Erin, “Okay time for us to get started on the work that you missed in the past few days.  I think we should work in the dinning room.  The study is a little so formal and there is more room on the dinning room table.”

“Okay, what ever you say.” Erin’s demeanor had changed from when she had first gotten in Port Charles.  She felt more comfortable with her tutor there.  It was starting to feel a little more like home.

“What do you want to start with, French, German or do you want to do math?”

“Let’s start with something fun.  Let’s do German.”
