Chapter 22

Erin woke up with a raging headache.  As soon as it clicked what had happened she sat up hitting her head on something hard.  Ow!” Erin proclaimed, her voice echoed in the small quarters.  Not wanting to hit her head again, she began to feel around.  She found something cold and hard lying next to her.  She ran her hands over it trying to figure out what it was, her finger hit something and a light switched on, it was a flashlight.  Erin swept the light over the room; it looked like she was in a storage bin.  Her heart filled with terror when she didn’t see any holes to let air in.  Just as her throughout began to close she heard a buzzing sound, she looked around and saw a small air vent that was pumping in air every few minutes.

Jason’s penthouse

Jason was pacing back and forth all night, he was more upset then he was when Michel had been kidnapped.  At least when Tony had taken off with Michel he knew that Tony was the one who had him.  But with Erin he didn’t know what to do, she was gone and he had no clue what to do.  He sat down and looked at the pile of mail sitting on the dinning room table.

He was flipping through letters and junk when he saw something from England.  Intrigued Jason opened it and had to laugh to himself.  Dawn Drake, one of the men who’s name he had cleared of Charlie’s death, had sent him a letter telling of everything that had been happening in his family, it reminded him of the things that Robin called “the dreaded Christmas letters”.  At the bottom of the letter there was a hand written note thanking him again for his help and offered his assistance with anything that Jason or Erin needed.

Jason thought to himself that it would be nice if Drake could help with finding Erin.  “If only he could help.”

“If only who could help?”  Robin asked from the stairway.

“Oh, nothing.  I just got a letter from Dawn Drake.”  Jason said with a sad smile.  No matter how he felt he always smiled when he saw Robin, even more now that he knew that they were going to have a baby.

“That name sound familiar, where do I know it?”

“He was the man Charlie was working for before he was killed.”

“That was nice of him,” Robin’s eyes wondered out the window, lost in thought.  Then she got a look in eyes that told Jason she had an idea.  “Why don’t you get in touch with him and see if he can help.  Lord knows we can use all the help we can get.”

“That’s what I was thinking, but I don’t know how much I like that idea.  How can he know anything that we don’t?”

“I don’t know, it was just a thought.”  Robin shrugged her shoulders.  “It’s just that so much has happened to her in the past two years, and I want her back here as soon as possible, she doesn’t deserve this.  No one does.”

“I know, I just wish that I had seen this coming.  Everything was pointing to it, but I just didn’t see it.”

Jason and Robin stood in silence, each secretly kicking themselves for not seeing the signs that something like this was going to happen.  Both were pulled out of their thoughts when Lucky came rushing into the room.  “Lucky what is it.

Lucky was holding some papers in his hands and he looked white as a goast.  “I did some digging on that E-mail address that you gave me, and I came up with something, but I don’t think you’re going to like it.”

“What is it?”  Jason asked.

“Well when Erin was first getting the E-mail messages it was registered to some person right here in Port Charles.  But when I tried to track that person down I found out that it was an alias.  Then I looked at the name again, do you remember how Erin used to crack those codes?”

“Yah, each letter in the words was represented by another word and then that word was spelled backwards-”

“That’s it, they were spelled backwards, what does A-N-E-L-E-H spell backwards?”  Lucky weighted a moment, when neither of them responded he jumped in.  Helena, and what can Cass stand for, Cassadine.  And she’s the one who kidnapped Erin in the first time.”  Lucky paused to let the news sink in.  “But we know that Helena is dead, so someone else is using her name to do things.  And my dad has been hearing things about someone calling in favors in Helena’s name.”

Jason and Robin looked at each other shocked.  “So someone is saying they are Helena?”  Robin asked.

“No someone is just calling in favors, they aren’t saying they are Helena, well as far as I know.  I can check into that is you want.”  Lucky offered.

“No, that won’t be necessary.  I think I know exactly who would be more then willing to do that, and if he tips off the person that someone is on to him, he won’t know it’s us.”  Jason said thinking out loud.

“Okay, if you need anything just tell me and I’ll see what I can do.”  Lucky told him as he headed for the door.

“I will.”  Jason told him as he left.  Jason walked over to the phone.

“What do you have in mind?”

“I’m going to call in that favor that Drake offered.”  Twenty minutes later Jason was still on the phone with Drake.  “Well thank you, I’ll have one of my men bring you everything that we have.  Goodbye.”  Jason hung up the phone and sighed.

“I can’t believe it.”  Robin said with a laugh.

“What?”

“I don’t think I’ve ever heard you talk that long on the phone, even to me.”

“I couldn’t get Drake to get off the phone until I told him everything that has happened sense that deal two years ago.  That man likes to talk more then Sonny.”
