Chapter 21

Erin had to get out of the cottage.  All of the yelling going on had finally gotten to her.  Everyone she loved was fighting, Jax, Jason, Nikolas, Lucky, Luke, and even Stefan was there (though she had no idea why, she barley knew him), no one agreed on what they needed to do.  It was clear that no one agreed with Stefan but in a way she agreed with him, she didn’t want to fight because she was scared.  What if she fought and lost?  The people she loved most could get hut or worse they could die.  All of them had so much to loose; the twins had already lost their mother, all they had left was Jax, and Robin was pregnet so see needed Jason there.  Lue Lue needed her daddy, Luke, to be there for her; Lucky and Elizabeth had just gotten engaged they had so much ahead of them.  Nik had so many people relying on him, and Sonny, well Sonny had been through so much, she didn’t want to put him through any more.

The woods were a quiet contrast to the noise in her living room.  She walked for some time not thinking of anything, until she came to the place where her and Nikolas had a picnic.  Spring was popping up all over the place.  She sat down under a tree to think.  The ground was a little damp so she took off her coat and sat on it.  Everything they knew about her stalker made it seem as if it was Halana.  But that was impossible, they had seen her die.  Erin closed her eyes and leaned her head against the tree.

The sound of a breaking branch startled her and she looked up.  She was surprised to see a man standing above her.  “Hey angle face.  Remember me?”  Erin jumped up and away for him.  Erin cool it.  It’s just me, Mickey Delgoto.  Don’t you remember me?  I used to work with you father, god rest his soul.”  Then the voice clicked.  Erin had never seen him before but she remembered hearing his voice a lot.

“’Yes of coarse I remember you.  How did you find me?  Erin asked suspiciously.

“I’ve been keeping track of you.  Charles would have wanted it that way.”

“How did you find me?”  Erin asked again.  “My father didn’t tell anyone where I was.”

“Oh really?  My mistake.”  Mickey said devilishly and nodded to an unseen person and the world went black for Erin.

The cottage

“Okay we are in agreement, Jax sends Erin somewhere safe with V and we look for this person.”  Luke said to the group sitting around the dinning room table.  Stefan had left about 20 minutes ago and after some major arguing and yelling they had agreed on a plan.

“All of us, that includes my brother.”  Jax said making sure he was clear.

“Yes, and Jerry the Piero.”  Luke said.

“Good, I think we should start as soon as possible.  So Erin should get packed right away and leave tonight, there’s no time to delay.”  Jax looked around confused.  “Where is she?”

“Where is who?”  Luke asked annoyed.

“Who have we been talking about this whole time you imbisul?  Erin, where is she?”

“I saw her go into the kitchen about 30 minutes ago, I think the yelling got to her.”  Sonny said breaking his silence.  He had been watching her up to the moment she left and counting the minutes until she got back, he was beginning to worry when she didn’t return.

“I’ll go get her.”  Nik got out of his seat and walked into the kitchen.  A moment later they heard the back door slam shut.  Without a word everyone grabbed their coats and followed suite.

Nik ran down one of the paths calling out Erin’s name.  Something inside him told him this wasn’t right.  Erin knew better then to leave without tacking a guard with her.  Deep down in his gut he had a sick feeling that something was wrong with Erin.  He got to the clearing where he and Erin had had a picnic and stopped.  Erin’s coat was sitting under a tree, he picked it up, it was still warm, she couldn’t have left it too long ago.  Nik called out Erin’s name again; a deep dread was filling his heart.

Sonny was only a few steps behind him.  “What is it Cassadine?”

Erin’s coat, it’s still warm so she couldn’t have been here too long ago.  I don’t know what it is, but I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”

“Same here, let’s find the rest of the group and see if they found anything.”  Sonny walked slowly back to the cottage, he didn’t believe that anyone found anything thing, it wasn’t like Erin was going to just pop up and say that she went to the store or where ever, something was wrong, very wrong.

They got back to the cottage and whatever slim bit of hope died when they saw the defeated look of everyone’s face.  “Find anything?”  Luke asked hopefully.

“Yeah, Erin’s jacket.  It was till warm when we found it, but there was no sign of Erin.”  Nik told him.

“What do we do now?”  Jax asked.

“We weight,” Sonny paused.  “We weight for the kidnappers to tell us what to do.”
