Chapter 15
Jason’s penthouse
Jason sat
at the table with all the E-mail spread around him in order. He had tried to get online and find the web
pages but he was clueless when it came to the internet. He would have to weight until Robin got back
from the store, she knew more about that then he did. There was something about the messages that
bothered him. Why did they stop all of a
sudden? And what made the person start
up all of a sudden again? Something just
didn’t add up. There was something about
the name Aneleh Cass that struck him as odd but he
couldn’t quiet think of it.
Jason put
the papers back onto the table and walked over to the window. He looked out over the docks and watched the
work crew rebuild the public arias. Just
a few weeks ago the Quartermaines had given into his
requests and had changed their building plans.
Robin
entered the penthouse and saw Jason looking out the window. She recognized the look on his face, he was
thinking about something important. She
fiddled with her scarf as she walked over to him. Was this the right time to tell him her
suspicions or should she weight till she knew for sure. If she told him and
she turned out to be wrong Jason would be devastated. It would be like when he lost Michele all
over again. Carly
walked out the door with Michele and was never heard of again. Jason had searched for her for months. Michele may not have been his real son but he
had raised him as his own.
But then
again if she didn’t tell him and she was right he would think that she was
leaving him out and he would feel hurt.
‘Oh boy, this is going to be fun.’ Robin thought to herself.
“Hey Jas.”
She said softly.
Jason
turned around and smiled. “Your back,
what did you do all day?” Jason asked
glad for a distraction.
“I was just
out walking around. I guess you could
say I was on a death tour.”
“A death tour?” Jason asked not understanding.
“I went and
visited Brenda’s grave, my parents’, Lilly’s, and Stone’s. I don’t know why but no matter where I
started to go I always ended up at someone’s
grave.” Robin said with a shrug.
“What did
you do there?”
“I was just
talking to them,” Jason looked at her funny.
“Yes I was talking to their graves, so don’t look at me like that. It always makes me feel better if I can talk
to them when I have a big decision to make.
I guess it’s because that’s the closest I to talking strait to them.”
“I’ve never
understood that. Why do people talk to
someone who is dead? They can’t hear
you.”
“Well you
don’t know that. Who knows, they just
might be able to hear us when we talk to them.
Look at it this way, remember when you were taking those Catholic
classes after you had Michele baptized?
They taught you how to pray, that was a way to talk to God. I figure, if he can hear you so can everyone
one else.”
“Oh, okay,”
Jason paused for a minute thinking. “You
said you only go to them when you have a big decision, what is it?”
Robin
smiled at him shyly. “Well I’m not
positive but…” Robin searched for the words to tell him. “I think I could be…” Robin looked down at
her stomach and placed her hand on her abdomen.
It dawned
on Jason what she was trying to say. “Do
you mean you’re pragnet?”
Robin
smiled brightly in response.
Luke’s
Luke hung
up the phone in his office and let out a frustrated sigh. “What’s up?
Did that band cancel for tonight?”
Lucky asked from the doorway.
“No, I just
got word from some of my contacts that someone is calling in favors in
“Do you
have any idea who might want to do that and why?” Lucky asked interested.
“I have no
clue. Who in the world would think of
calling debts owed to a dead woman? And
who in their right mind would go into debt to someone like her in the first place?” Luke said to himself bewildered.
“Is there
anything I can do?”
“Yah, keep
an eye on the club for me. I’m going to
leave town for a few days to check this out.”
“Do you
really think that’s necessary?”
“Yes, I’ve
got a bad feeling about this one.”
“Do you
know how long you’re going to be gone?”
“No, but
I’ll call in every day and give you a report.
I’ll call at let’s say, five-thirty sharp every afternoon. And if I don’t call I want you to do like in
the old days. Got that Cowboy?”
“No prob.”
The cottage

“Erin, it’s Robin. Call me
back as soon as you can.”
Beep
“I’m back
in town, give me a call when you get this.”
The last
message was Nikolas.
The phone
made that decision for her. The ring
startled her enough to make her jump slightly.
“Hello?”
“Oh, I’m so
glad I caught you, I’ve been trying to get in touch with you for hours.” Robin said happily.
“I just got
in. So what’s so important that you
forgot that I had a cell phone.”
“Huh?”
“Never mind. What is it that’s got you so
excited?”
“Well it’s
not really something that I want to tell you over the phone. Do you mind if I come over?”
“No I don’t
mind.”
“Good, I’ll
be there in a little bit.”
“Okay, see
you then.” Robin hung up the phone with
out even saying goodbye.
“Nikolas Cassadine.”
“Erin
Brown.” She responded teasing him.
“Hey
beautiful, where you been all day? I’ve
been trying to get in touch with you sense early this morning?” Nik asked
“I was with
Sonny. You could of
found that out easily if you had called Jason and asked him.”
“Guilty as
charged. I just wanted to see if you
wanted me to come over.”
“Do you
even have to ask?”
“Well I
didn’t know if you still wanted me to stay there.”
“I think
that’s a no brainer.
I love having you here every morning when I wake up,”
“Okay, it’s
going to take me a few hours to get a few things settled here and then I’ll be
over. How’s that sound?”
“That
sounds great to me, I’ll see you then. I
missed you.”
“I missed
you more.”
“I don’t
think that’s possible.”
“I’ll prove
it to you when I get there.”
“I’ll be
looking forward to it. I love you.”
“I love you
too. Bye.”
“Bye.”
