Chapter 12
Later that day
Jax shook his head sadly and looked up into the star
filled sky. The day had gone by in a blure of people and flowers and condolences. “No, that’s okay. I’m going to take the kids to
“
“Brenda never told you about
“I understand,”
Jax managed a sad smile, “I will,” He couldn’t help but
think about how much
“You’re not staying for the
funeral?”
“No.” Jax said sadly and
walked away.
V noticed
“He talks
to you doesn’t he?”
V thought a moment. “Well I guess so, why do you ask?”
“Because
you seem to be the only one. He won’t talk to me, Robin, or anyone
else. You seem to be the only person he
can talk to, that is, after Brenda was killed.
Why is that?”
“I don’t know, but my guess
would be because I didn’t have any ties to Brenda, except through him. I guess I don’t remind him of her. Robin was like Brenda’s sister, and Brenda
thought of you as almost a daughter, all she thought of me was someone that
worked for Jax.
I hope that answers your question.”
V said hopefully.
“Yah, I guess. I take it that you’re going with him to
“Yes, as much as I trust Mr.
Jax, I don’t trust him being alone. In a heartbeat he lost his wife, the love of
his life, his best friend, and the mother of his children. When all this hits him it won’t be a good
idea for him to be alone.”
“That’s a good idea. I’m glad he has someone to turn to.”
“I better get going. I don’t want to keep Jax
weighting.” V said giving
The funeral was filled with
people that loved her and ended quickly, just like Brenda’s life.
