Lisa paddled to the shore and hid
her canoe in a clump of bushes. Lisa hid quietly and watch
just to make sure that Max did not come home wile Jonathan was in his house.
One minuet went by then another all was quiet. It was not until five minuets
had gone by that Lisa saw Max tie up his boat and walk into his house. Lisa
though frantically of a plan but could not come up with one finely she just ran
silently up to the door of the house and looked in Max looked as if he was
about to attack Jonathan. She looked around for something that she could use as
a weapon but the only thing she could see was a frying pan. Lisa charged Max
and raised the pan high and brought it crashing down on Max’s head.
Max fell to the floor unconscious.
Lisa and Jonathan looked at each other in astonishment. They ran from the house
the their boats and paddled as fast as they could back
to the town.
They left there as fast as they
could and ran around the town telling the towns’ people of their discovery of
the identity of the Black Where. Everyone in the town was furious when they
heard. The
men of the town organized to go capture Max. The men took torches and sailed to
the other side of the lake. When they reached Max’s house they found him gone.
On the table was a letter:
To whom it may concern,
I
would like to atone for the damage I have done.
It
all started twenty years ago. I had purposed to Brandy.
When
she told me “no” I broke down. Everyone around
me, especially Queen Marsha, looked like Brandy, so I
killed the queen. I could not believe it when Brandy
married Lony Mully.
When their son Jonathan was
born I went into the depths of despair. When the boy
turned one year I killed the father. After that I just
started
killing every girl that I thought looked like Brandy, and so
I
became the Black Where.
The
King’s Court Jester Max
The people of the town were
outraged. They found that Max had gone into the forest. The town gates were shut and kept shut for
one week. When the doors were opened they found Max or at least his remains. It
looked as if he had been attacked and eaten by wolfs.
