CHAPTER
EIGHT
Lisa hopped lightly onto Nightmare’s
back and waited for Jonathan to do the same.
Jonathan was not used to riding a horse bare back let alone at a gallop.
They reached the
“Hey! De show is about to begin.” He
called from his seat under a large weeping willow. Lisa and Jonathan put aside
their troubles and became lost in the story of a pompous baker. When he came to
the scary parts Max would do a trick that he was known far and wide for. He
would cover his head with his black cloak and let the sun reflect off his eyes
that would sparkle. His eyes were an odd color they were not a brown but they
were not a blue his eyes had all the colors of the rainbow in them. Soon the
story was over and he started to do tricks like juggling and back flips and on
and on until it was about time for sunset. All the kids thanked him for the
good time and left. Mike just smiled in response and put on his black cape.
Lisa and Jonathan left and went home, Lisa on Nightmare, and Jonathan by foot.
Many weeks passed and the Black
Where became more aggressive in it’s attacks. All the
girls were afraid of the night. Most of the girls had gone to the asylum for
safety. The asylum lies at the edge of the town.
