CHAPTER SIX
Lisa was vaguely aware when someone
walked up behind her.
“Lisa, what’s wrong?” it was
Jonathan. He knelt down next to her and put his hand on her shoulder. She
looked into his pale blue eyes. Their eyes locked for a moment, Again Lisa saw
something unforemilyer in his eyes. Jonathan reached
his hand out and softly wiped the tears from her face. But it was to of no use
for more just took their place.
Something, Lisa knew not what, but
something triggered the memory of her friends lying there and she flung her
arms around Jonathan's neck and cried even harder.
Lisa’s actions took Jonathan just
bit by surprise but he figured that Lisa needed a friend, now, more than
anything. Jonathan put his arms around her and slowly rocked her until she
stopped crying.
“Lisa,” Jonathan began, “what did
you see? What is wrong?” In his heart Jonathan knew but he had not the nerve to
connect the disappearance of the girls and the three figures lying dead in the
alley.
Instead of saying anything Lisa
stood up and Jonathan did also. Lisa took Jonathan’s hand. She too now notice
that she felt something different. They walked hand in hand until the edge of
the field, Jonathan took his hand from Lisa’s and put it around her shoulder.
