Westwood who won two previous games to make it into the championship game. After an early practice the Lady Jacks headed down to Redding so that they would be able to hit the sack early and would be prepared for the match set for 11 am the next day.
The Lady Jacks had several team goals....
#1 Beat Chester 2 times
#2 Have a great pre-season
#3 Become League Champions
#4 Become Division Champions
Yesterday ended volleyball season, fittingly so, since every goal had been accomplished.
Only in CA for 36 hours, Haleigh and mom flew in to see the Championship Game.
MISSION POSSIBLE
Westwood came into the gym rested and ready to play. The solid attitude that started when we rode the fat pony through the captains meeting and all the way through the 5th game.

The match went back and fourth. Momentum was a roller coaster ride.. "That was the most intense match I've ever coached" said Nancy. "It was a battle out there, I was so proud of how hard the girls played. They never gave up". said Tammy
Seniors made sure to enjoy their last ride
Breakfast of Champions...McDonald's
The Lady Jacks have been fighting the doubters all season long. Many thought that Westwood was a fluke, and would never make it to Foothill. Our crowds were small but intense, the team made sure that they knew they were there representing the team and all the other Lady Jacks that never had the chance to make it that far.
Westwood represented the school and program with pride and class. The Lady Jacks left it all out on the floor.
It took 5 games to wear down the Lions. With hard hits and tough serves Westwood played a complete game.
As soon as Westwood scored the final match point the celebration began... The girls showed each other some love. It was wonderful to know that all the hard work to meet the teams goals had paid off.
Then it became party time! The girls quickly reminded Nancy of the promise that she made to the team. and then it became picture time.
The seniors took on last opportunity to pose for the last time for the red & black. These seniors are part of the most successful volleyball team in school history.
Finally, it was off to Red Lobster...I doubt a meal ever tasted as good. Meals taste different when you are a Division Champion. Thanks for all the wonderful memories and for being such a great bunch of young ladies....We are proud of you.
