Blue Feather stood worn and beaten
Surveying what had once been there
In the mist Chief Grey Cloud
Wandering within the barren village

His eyes filled with tears
For his wife and precious son
The acrid smoke burning his eyes
The stench of death engulfing him

Once they had stood together
All of them so tall and proud
Theyd fought hard as they could
To beat the injustices for all

He was once a warrior brave
His life now torn from him
Torment and rage filled his soul
As he fell to the ground weeping

Raising his spear, showing no fear
He rode into the soldiers camp
His brave battle cry echoed
Sealing his fate, he met his end

All of them the weak and strong
Are now with the Great Spirit
Forever-in peace and love
They wander the plains together

Where was the justice here?
Were we not all born as one?
Were they meant to live in fear?
What had this war really won?
