Siblings

Simon stood shoulder to shoulder with his brother, Hugo, and stared at the photographer like she’d sprouted horns and a tail. “I thought this was supposed to be about sibling rivalry?”

Hugo’s mouth twisted into a shy grin as he stared at Simon. “Certainly is a bit.”

Simon rolled his eyes. “I don’t know if I want to stand next to you in nothing but my skin.”

The photographer looked from one to the other. This was her fifth sibling shoot in less than three weeks. She was amazed at the reaction she’d gotten from the brothers when she’d asked them to strip. So far, none of the other siblings had minded in the least. In fact, they were almost happy to strip down to their bare necessities for a chance to stand cheek to cheek with their famous relative.

Both men were blond and lean and tall, with Hugo being the slightly larger of the two. His shoulders, too, thought the photographer, were a bit broader. They would photograph well together.

At last, they were stripped and the photographer raised her camera to her face. She hoped the lens would mask her rapt expression. Of all those she’d photographed, the two Aussies were the best looking. Something about the near perfect mirror image turned her on. Well, and they both had really large… feet.

They stood stiffly in front of the backdrop with the bright bulbs glaring on their pale skin and offered self-conscious grins. The photographer clicked away as she talked to them, trying to loosen them up a bit.

“This is crazy,” Simon said after he and Hugo had been snapped for the umpteenth time back to back. “Here, love, let’s give ‘em something to think about, shall we?”

“What?” Hugo’s smile was slow and languid, as if already reading his brother’s mind.

Without warning, Simon spun and grabbed his brother in a bear hug. Hugo instantly returned the grapple and the photographer laughed behind her lens.

The article that ran in the magazine pictured many celebrities with their siblings. But the most interesting of all was the Weaving brothers. They clasped each other tightly, like Greek wrestlers. Each wore only their identical wicked smiles.
