| SOUL WHISPERS There is a place within my heart that no man dares to go. My wall is high, my shield is strong to protect me from my foe. To the ones who try to lure my spirit with promises of love. Who entrap me in "said" loving arms to soar us high to stars above. Then shatters all my hopes and dreams and throws them to the ground, while laughing loud and moving onward, leaving me to drown. So I closed this heart to those like that to keep my life force strong. But then one day, out of the mists, I heard your spirit's song... call to mine in haunting whispers that has echoed throughout time. I felt as if I knew your soul in a way that was sublime. I fought against your spirit's call and tried so hard to flee. But deep inside, I knew you were the one who held the only key.... to this soul that was so closed and safe behind its shield. I knew deep within, you were the one and my heart began to yield. Gently you brought down my guard and broke apart my wall... carefully put back the pieces each time I had a fall. And proved to me by moving slow that your love for me was true. I felt your arms enfold me close as I fell deeply in love with you. Now I know, throughout eternity, you've been searching as I have too. For each other, that we lost so long ago while our souls were still brand new.
