| SILENT NIGHT I lay here, my face buried in my pillow, trying to smother my screaming tears. My heart is on a lonely, silent vigil. Your words haunt my every heartbeat and plunge my crushed soul into new depths of betrayed, aching torment. Every precious memory now only serves to drag me into the harshness of the truth. Come, oh death, and be my saviour! Liberate me from memories of love. Bring me your cold, silent peace. Sleep eludes my churning mind as echoes of your fading footsteps evade my crying, tearful pleas.
