Diamond Throne
 by Keith Parkinson
A ROSE UPON A THRONE

Like an unblemished rose
in heaven's garden you bloom,
I shall carry the vision of your beauty
to my everlasting tomb.
Absolute and unconditional
though your love is for me,
a slave spellbound by your majestic benevolence,
I shall always be.

A beautiful, scented rose to you,
my sweet love, I send,
a red rose of love, with each petal a song,
a wish or a dream of you,
a longing, a need,
a wanting to hold you close or need to tend,
you are my thoughts, my dreams,
almost everything I do.

In my heart, there is a beautiful meadow,
where, hand in hand, we roam.
Who's crowning glory is the vision of you,
a Queen upon her throne.
Where at your feet, I sit a willing slave
to your beauty and elegant grace,
There is none more beautiful than you
in the whole human race.
