| To me, awards that one has displayed on their sites are not signs of vanity or boasting nor are they gifts from other people.� I believe them to be gestures of appreciation from your peers for a job well done. Anyone can put together a web site whether for commercial purposes or just personal reasons.� But why bother if it is just slapped together in two minutes and the content is not well thought out or layout is just not that appealing to the eye or difficult to follow?�� Therefore, if one has put time and extreme effort into constructing� their site, then I believe that they have truly earned their awards. I have strived over time to put my very first site together, learning from scratch, many hours spent banging my head on my keyboard with frustration, and at times, searching for the sledgehammer to smash my computer to smithereens.� (Luckily which I never located) Have I earned these, my very first awards?� Damn right, I have!!!� :-) |
