The Domesticat Thoas crosses paths with the dragons Cirall and Vahn. This is a short log, but it was still fun to do. A warning though, watch for flying unicorns. ;)

Thoas
She stands at a little over four feet in height. Slim in body and build, her shoulders are far from being described broad and her waist is just as small. Short, pointed ears crown the top of her head while dark brown eyes match closely to the short, dark brown fur that covers her body. A thin nose and small mouth help to finish off her face. Only slight curves show off upon her body despite a slightly generous bosom. Long, thin arms and legs help to complete her, though her long tail swishing out behind her is not to be forgotten.
She wears a somewhat simple outfit. A form fitting blue bodice, which laces carefully up her back, settles lightly upon her torso. Over it, she wears a slightly lighter blue vest with long sleeves, which reach down to taper off at her wrists. A full skirt or a darker blue material flares out from her waist to cover her lower half.

Cirall
Cirall is a tall, yet slim young dragoness. Being only 210 years old, her height is quite tall. She stands at about 7'10" vertically, but if you stretched her out, she's almost 12' in total length and appears very athletic and in shape for her *still* young age. Black spines stick out from her back, defenitely marking her as one of the Tal'Aldani. Piercing green eyes stare at you, yet seem gentle. Her scales are a deep shade of teal blue. Her underside colors tend towards a more teal blue/green as do the membranes of her wings. She is attired in a loose-fitting pair of forest green pants with a matching deep blue top. Her head is adorned with a simple gold rope tied around it.

Vahn
One word describes the blue behemoth before you: massive. Cobalt blue scales cover this 10'3" veteran. Wide of shoulder and covered in muscles, you'd think you're looking at a draconian linebacker. His wings are sails of the darkest midnight blue, his chest a lighter, sky blue. His crest of spines running down his head and back are black as coal, denoting him as Aldani.
His one eye you can see is a deep golden amber color. His other eye is covered by a leather patch dyed nightshade purple in color. The patch has ties that loop behind his head to tie down inbetween his crest spines. Flowing pants the same color as his eye patch fall from his waist and tie at the ankles, fronted by a loincloth decorated along the edges by copper studs. Leather sandals protect the pads of his feet without impeding his toes and claws, straps wrapping up around his ankles. He wears a short, supple leather vest the same purple as the rest of his outfit. Hanging over his shoulders, front and back, is a heraldic tabard in the blue and silver of the Aldani Queen's colors. Her symbol is embroidered in silver thread with blue saphires decorating it here and there. His left upper arm has a silver metal band wrapped around it, a single emerald set into it. Small engravings cover the rest of the band.
Scars, both large and small cover his arms in places. Some made by natural cause, some by metal weapons. Nasty scars mar the fine scales across his right arm, all the way from hand to shoulder. This male is a warrior. Both arms from the wrist half-way to the elbow has purple leather bracers that match the vest. The leather has been tooled with knotwork and other designs. A single emerald also graces these bracers just behind the wrist. On his head, the left horn has an engraved silver ring bound around it, another single emerald dangles from it like an earring.
A huge dracoinian greatsword hangs from it's holder across his back, the handle sticking up from between his wings, the end to the side of his tail. The sword handle is wrapped in simple leather. This is weapon for use, not decoration. The only other noticable thing to Vahn is his left wing is bound tightly to his side with padded leather straps. He can not fly with it wrapped like so.

The Core
Weird is relative, as you are quickly discovering here in the Core of this bizarre realm of spheres. The Core forms the single direct link between every known sphere. There is only one gateway here, on the north side of the room, blue at the rim and black with swirling white dots like stars at the center. If rumour is correct, walking through that gate will return you instantly to your home sphere, but there remains much to see here in the Core!
You are in a wide promenade, with a marble floor, the ceiling eighty or more feet above, balconies jutting out at random. This place has the ambiance of a strange kind of shopping mall, bizarre creatures making their way along this central strip. Small shops, mostly entertainment oriented in nature line the walls. Cafes, restaurants both fine and crude, bars, taverns, almost anything imaginable. There are furred creatures, tentacled creatures... unidentifiable creatures, who wear powered armour or environment suits to be here. The Core can be a place of magic, and enjoyment, or it can be a place of great danger. Be wary with whom you choose to speak.
The Promenade is currently decked out in an array of decorations, streamers, and other bits of finery. Lining the marble floor are booths, shops, and vendor tents; all with goods and information from the various spheres. Scattered throughout are several tables, with seating to accommodate nearly any sort of frame. Over on one side is a book seller, while next to it is a stand that sells fried dough and cotton candy. Tucked behind a few stalls is a brightly coloured tent with a placard that reads "Madame Briyanna's Fortunes" with a painted picture of a wolf howling at a full moon. At one end of the Promenade, opposite from the Gate, a platform stage has been built, allowing for musicians, speakers, or just about anyone who wishes to perform. Above your head, streamers run from balcony to balcony, crisscrossing the empty space with festive strips of paper and ribbon. A large sign spanning the Promenade reads "Second Annual Sphere Diversity Festival".

Cirall strolls around casually amongst the various stalls springing up for the festival. Her usual twin bodyguards are nowhere to be seen. Instead, she is followed by the much bigger Captain of the Royal Guard. Cirall is quite distracted by the pretty banners and ribbons going up.

Thoas's eyes dart here and there as she tries her best to keep out of the way of the others who may be passing here and there. It'd be rather easy for someone of her height to easily be stepped upon. Her steps scurry her over to just beside one of the stalls as her head swivels this way and that as if looking for someone or something.

Vahn purchases a Wyrm and orange slice kabob from a vendor.

Cirall is looking upwards as an intricately curving decoration is being hoisted up over a few stalls. She starts to comment on the dangling optical lines that can barely be seen with their lights out. The teal dragoness keeps walking forward to keep an eye on the growing showpiece without paying attention to the fact that she's about to bump another individual...

Vahn quickens his pace to recover his place 1 step behind the queen.

Thoas starts out into the thourough way, only to give a startled squeel and hurriedly huddles down right there where she is. Right in the way, her paws going up to cover her head as she waits for the faithful moment of squishyness.

A young unicorn whizzes barely overhead on a hoverboard.

Cirall is startled by the sudden squeal in front of her, trying to stop herself from stepping on the small feliness before her. Her arms go out to the sides to help balance her as she hovers over Thoas's smaller frame. Vahn's quickened pace doesn't help him stop quick either as he bumps into the suddenly stopped shorter dragoness before him. Cirall cries out as she starts to fall over. Only fast thinking and faster reflexes push her arms out below her, pushing her descent to the side of the feline rather than on top of her. Vahn just steps forward to halt the rest of his momentum now that Cirall took the rest from him.

A burly male centaur ducks as the flying Kefetiuan barely misses his head. This is immediately followed by a raised arm and shouting in the centaur language.

Thoas peeks out from under the cover of her paws as she looks for the one who was most certainly about to flatten her. her eyes widen considerably though as she spots the one that was behind the first. her tail which had been a little out behind herself, quickly wraps itself about her as she stares at Vahn. The other Dragon one temporarily forgotten.

Vahn encircles Cirall's waist with his left arm and hauls her back to a standing position as quickly as posible. He attempts to shield her from prying eyes with his right wing.

Cirall woahs softly as she's lifted from a prone position abruptly back to a standing one. She blinks a couple times as she wonders what just happened. Looking straight up, she softly talks to Vahn in draconis, telling him, "Thanks." Then she realizes what happened and looks down, pushing Vahn's wing out of the way to see who or what she almost fell on. In common, she says, "Oh! I'm terribly sorry, are you okay? I didn't see you, I hope I didn't hurt you in any way."

Thoas continues her rather wide eyed stare at Vahn. Well, that is until the second one comes into her sight. Her paws scurry as quickly as they can, to draw herself back away from the two draconians. A nervous, hasty shake of her head is given until she bumps into a stand on the other side of the thouroughway. A soft yelp emitting from her.

Cirall draws back, startled by the feline's reaction. She's never had anyone afraid of her before like this. Living amongst much taller dragons than herself before, Cirall is used to large creatures, but never considered herself to be one. She reaches out and says softly, "No, no! I'm not going to hurt you, it was an accident. I just want to make sure you're okay yourself miss."

A pair of green twin dragonesses can be heard giggling off to the side before disappearing back into the crowds.

Thoas's body can almost be seen shivering a little as she tries to slowly get to her feet, her paws dusting at her clothing as she does. Wide eyes never leave the pair across from her and she takes a deep breath to try and calm her nerves. "I'm alright..." is said rather quietly.

Cirall nods quickly to herself, "Good, I was afraid I was going to fall on you and hurt the both of us." Cirall remembers her manners and realizes the height difference between herself and the short lady before her. Cirall crouches down before extending her hand. "My name is Cirall, pleased to meet you."

Thoas's back is quickly pressed back against the stand she was near as the hand is extended towards herself. Her eyes quickly drop to the ground as she silently berates herself for being so skittish. It is only a moment before she looks back towards Cirall, her paw raising to meet hers, "My name is Thoas." she replies, even managing to put forth a small smile.

Cirall is gentle when shaking hand to paw. "Greetings then, miss Thoas." Realizing the feline is intimidated by herself, Cirall lets Thoas's paw go so as to not scare her further. She takes a step back, still crouched to give Thoas some breathing space before asking, "Are you here to see the festival too, Miss Thoas?"

The hoverboarding hooligan returns this direction armed with a watergun. Looking for a ripe target, he takes aim at the blind side of the blue dragon's muzzle. Vahn straightens and scowls as the frigid water courses down his muzzle and cascades towards his charge below.

Thoas nods her head as her smile widens a little. "I, I heard about it and thought that I would come and take a peek. I really wasn't trying to be in the way!" she is quick to add on at the end. Others, other than the dragoness are hardly even noticed for now as she watches carefully, the one who converses with her.

Cirall shakes her head, "Oh no, you weren't in the way, I wasn't, Ack...!" Her sentence is changed to a startled cry as she's suddenly splashed by water from above. Her arm goes up quickly along with a sail-sized wing to try shielding her face from more cold water. After no more water immediately assaults her, Cirall looks up, moving her wing enough to see the culprit go dashing off on his hoverboard. Forgetting she was just talking to another, Cirall stands up quickly with a turn to face the direction of the fleeing unicorn and yells something possible obscene in draconic in his direction.

Vahn whispers into Cirall's ear. (Should I go look for his parents?)

Vahn grimaces at the prospect.

Cirall looks up at her blue companion and shakes her head no. She responds softly in draconic, "I doubt you'd find them, no need to waste your time. Just warn me if he starts to dash by again though."

Thoas uses the chance of distraction of the draconian to slide to the edge of the stand her back is to. She hunkers down at the end, seeming to try her best at using the stand itself as a way to hide herself from the many beings around. Several, calming breaths are taken as she seeks to slow her pulse that she jsut now realizes has been rushing.

Cirall uh ohs to herself and looks down for the feline she was just talking too. Surprised there's no one there, Cirall looks around some to find her, wondering if she's wandered off. It's not long before she sees Thoas at the side of the stall and is confused at the way the feline is acting. "Please don't tell me I've scared you so badly. I'm deeply sorry for that, I don't intend to hurt you or anything like that. I just came to see the festival myself, Miss Thoas."

Thoas is quick to nod her head as she brings back the small smile that had disappeared. "You didn't scare me... not really." she responds, her paws wringing themselves before herself. Noticing her paws, she hastily stops them and uses one to motion around the two of them. "I'm just not use to being around so many others..."

Cirall ohs softly, nodding her head slowly. "Ohh, I see. Yeah, I guess it can seem kind of intimidating. But don't worry, you get used to it eventually." She points up behind her and whispers conspiratorily, "It also helps having a big brute to stand with you. Makes scary people think twice before messing with you." She grins widely like a small child, showing more than a few sharp pointy teeth in the process.

Thoas can just be heard giggling, despite her small step back from the teethy grin of the one before her. "I thought to leave my brute behind, I didn't want to have to wait for him." she replies, seeming to grow just a little comfortable with her.

Vahn coughs lightly as if clearing his throat before talking to Cirall softly in draconic. Cirall looks up at him and pouts before turning back to Thoas. "Well, it seems I must go. I have other buisness here in the Core before I can fully enjoy the festivities. It really was a pleasure meeting you Miss Thoas. I hope our paths cross again, maybe we can enjoy the festival together some."

Thoas is a little quick to nod her head as she smile up towards Cirall. "I.. will look forward to it, Miss Cirall." she responds, voice just as quiet as ever. The brute behind the draconian is given another wary look, but a smile as well, just the same.

Cirall steps back before standing up to be sure she doesn't accidently bump into the short feline although there was already enough space to ensure that in the first place. Cirall gives a short bow of her head to the little domesticat before looking up at Vahn with a sigh, "Lead on, oh large one." she says with a light laugh. Vahn just growls softly under his breath before pointing the way to go. Cirall then heads off that way after giving Thoas one last wave goodbye.
