This complex story involves the Aldani dragons Tallycorith, Strethan, Razi, Rhinn, the Vehrakt dragons Zhagtin and Sedired and the NPC Faranis.

This starts out at the Barracks of Sithern Keep. It is from the perspective of Tallycorith.

Tallycorith walks into the room, wearing the new armor that was made specifically for him...

Strethan stands before a weapons rack, inspecting the implements within. Hands clasped behind his back, he turns at Tallycorith's entry. "Ah, Tallycorith! Just the dragon I was looking for! I have a mission for you, my student. One you will appreciate."

Tallycorith says, "Good evening, Milord, what is this.. task, might I ask?"

Strethan strolls closer, looking Tally (and his customized armor) up and down. "Why, probe Vehrakt territory for signs of Razi. Our scouts indicate that for a brief time Vehrakt patrols in a region between their fortresses of Gateway and Pyro will be small in scale and fairly self-reliant. I would like for you to take part in a swift raid to capture one or more of these patrols. If the Vehrakt have Razi as you were told, she will be held in either Gateway, Pyro, or Vehrakt itself. The Vehrakt you capture should know something about this."

Rhinn pokes his snout in the room, sliding in to stand beside the door unobtrusively, catching the names of the Vehrakt forts as he passes..

Tallycorith nods.. "Aye, sir, I would be glad to do this, if I may. Might I be the one to head this mission? And who else is to be with me on this? Or do I go alone perhaps?"

Strethan says, "There will be ten of you, including yourself. The leader of the wing, Lieutanant Faranis, is well-acquainted with the region and will act as guide. You, my student, will accompany them and act in whatever capacity you feel best fits the circumstances. Consider yourself a wildcard, my stand-in. The soldiers have been advised that you act under my direct order in this... do not disappoint me."

Tallycorith nods, looking serious.. "I will not dissappoint thee, I promise that.. I will find where Lady Razi is being held. I will not come back without at least that knowledge.. Though they may be sent back early if the need arises, no sense in endangering others if not necassary..."

Tallycorith says, "And I thank thee for this.. I am in thy debt.."

Rhinn steps forward witha flick of his wings. "I would like to accompany this as well, as the advisor.."

Tallycorith whirls around, surprised at the quiet entrance.. "he reaches for the sword on his back, and stops as he recognises the Dragon as Rhinn, He drops back to a normal stance. "Milord, thou need not put thyself in danger over this..."

Strethan looks stern, wings stiffening slightly. "Do NOT take undue risks in your passion, Tallycorith. We need this information, and we do NOT need you throwing your life away needlessly. Discover where she is, and return so that we can insure her safe recovery."

Tallycorith nods.. "As that is my plan, Milord.. I will not risk my life foolishly, I cannot bring her back, if I am lost to those who have taken her in the first place... I do not take undue risks, Milord..."

Strethan had noticed Rhinn's arrival, but thought little of it until the announcement. He looks surprised and concerned, and says in a questioning tone, "Are you serious, Lord Rhinn? If that is your decision I cannot overrule you, but I MUST advise against it. This is a raid into extremely dangerous territory, Vehrakt controlled and garrisoned. You will be in grave danger."

Rhinn waves him off with a gold scaled hand. "I know the risks, Captain. It may be useful to have some diplomatic clout in this situation, to show the queen takes personal interest in this .. incident. I assure you I'll stay out of any fighting, though I'm no mean blade myself.."

Tallycorith nods.. "Doth thou have a blade for thyself, Milord?"

Strethan's fangs grind faintly, but his wings settle in assent and he nods his head. "If that is your desire, Spiritus go with you, Counselor. Yes, is there anything you require? Special issue perhaps?"

Rhinn takes a rapier off the rack. "This will do fine. I'd rather not be seen in battle with a terribly expensive and desirable weapon." Dispite the fact that his scales are a bit of a giveaway..

Tallycorith nods, taking out his own sword, Silesshirr, and checking to make sure it's been sharpened well, and washed recently.. he does the same to his dagger, J'had.... Then puts them away. "Where shalt I meet the party, Milord?"

Strethan says, "As you desire." Turning to Tallycorith, he indicates the ground floor. "In the courtyard, they should be assembling momentarily. You will make all speed to the Bayoon Forest border, then slip into the mountains east of Gateway and north from there. Faranis will guide you."

Tallycorith checks his armor, amking sure it's tightened properly onto his form, as it was just finished today.. He tightens a strap here and there, making the plates a bit more snug...

Tallycorith nods.. "Alright, Lord Rhinn, I am ready, whenever thou art.. "

Rhinn nods and puts on the sword belt, heading downstairs with a nod. "You're still in charge, Tallycorith."

Strethan watches the pair depart, tail flicking slowly behind him.

Tallycorith nods... walks out...

------- About 2 days later, after an arduous Trek... -------

Tallycorith flies down off into some bushes, a ways off from the fort, so as not to bee seen, and walks the rest of the way through foliage, with the rest of the party accompanying him..

Rhinn lands a bit slower to avoid hitting branches, lingering in the air to find a more open landing spot. SOon, though, he too is down, sword still sheathed but hand hovering near it.

Tallycorith motions to everyone to be as quiet as possible, though he needs not remind them, they all know how very eefective the vehrakt can be.. He pulls his sword, ready for attack if the need arise..

After a long and nerve-wracking journey both in flight and afoot, Lt. Faranis leads his nine troopers along with Tallycorith and Rhinn through the wooded mountains northeast of Gateway. Looping in towards the target zone, a stretch of territory between Pyro and Gateway, the Aldani now take their places and begin the search for Vehrakt patrols to ambush.

Tallycorith nods to Lt Faranis, giving little suggestion here and there, but allowing him to give the orders, as he knows the area well...

Rhinn stays near the center of the search pattern, alert for danger, watching the sky for patrols on the wing as well.

Meanwhile, Zhagtin and 7 of his chosen Warrior Guard fly low through the dusk towads Gateway Fort. Dangling in a tangled net beneath four of the Guard: a battered, bloody, -angry- Razi, who is being transported to Gateway in preparation for baiting the trap. Unaware of the intruders nearby, the wing of Vehrakt cut the sky in a loose V formation, Zhagtin a looming shadow at the point.

Tallycorith slips a green cloak on, so that the metal of the armor does not alert any Vehrakt of their position... He climbs into a tree, so as to get a better view, the cloak masking his presence well...

Zhagtin's flight is well visible against the darkening sky and the bloody glow of mountain peaks catching the rays of the dying sun.

Tallycorith watches carefully, so that no vehrakt see him, and especially notice the gold dragon in their party...

Razi is taken along, semi-conscious as she sleeps during the trip due to boredom and depression. She opens an eye everynow and then to see were she is going.

Tallycorith sees the party flying across the sky, and motions to Faranis, alerting him of the flying group in the sky...

Rhinn spots the flight and quickly ducks into some denser shrubbery, wings and limbs tight against his body in hopes of concealing himself in the growing dusk.

Tallycorith climbs out of the tree, and moves more slowly on the ground, he hides in the bushes, and offers his cloak to Rhinn, so as to cover his presence better...

Faranis nods and hisses a warning to the other dragons in the party. Blackened weapons are drawn and stances set as Faranis whispers orders, the soldiers arraying themselves to strike, when one of the soldiers murmurs with a mix of awe, trepidation, and anger, "By petiron's Hammer... that's the Warchief hisself!"

Rhinn nods thanks and covers his wings with the cloak, crouching and slipping its hood onto his head. "Zhagtin?.." he hisses under his breath to Tally.

Tallycorith hisses back, "Zhagtin? THE Zhagtin? Perhaps we will be lucky today indeed..." His eyes narrow in readiness....

Tallycorith wraps his wings around the armor, covering the armor a bit, camoflauging the metal, since the cloak no longer does...

Zhagtin is a heavily built silhouette leading the formation, dark sails spread wide and beating the air in intiring rythym. More than merely illuminated, the sheen of fading light on his scales leaves no doubt to his color, and no doubt to his identity to anyone who knows the Vehrakt. It is indeed Zhagtin. And it is unmistakably Razi being caried by his Warriors.

Faranis risks detection to slither his way to Rhinn's position, hissing hoarsely, "My Lord, It is the Warchief himself! AND the missing Aldani! Do we strike now? We outnumber them...."

Tallycorith growls lightly under his breath.. Recognizing the dragon prisoner as Razi, the very one they are scouting.. he Hisses to Rhinn.. "Razi....... They have her there"

Tallycorith says, "I suggest we strike them now.. we do out number them, but they have Zhagtin, and a hostage.. I will take Zhagtin myself.."

Rhinn glances briefly at Tallycorith, less versed in military strategy but knowing Tally's judgement is hampered by personal emotions.. He watches the wing pass over and nods quickly. "..Yes. Order your troops." As if he could hold Tally back, anyway..

Tallycorith nods to Faranis, "ready your troops, come up behind them on a attack V on my mark, I'll lead, and attack Lord Zhagtin Myself, you concentrate on getting Lady Razi back down here..."

Tallycorith says, "Rhinn, I suggest thee stay here, so as not to be captured.."

Rhinn says, "I'll stay until needed. Go!"

Tallycorith nods..

Tallycorith whispers.. "Ready?

Faranis touches claw to muzzle in salute and quickly passes the order. 9 Aldani soldiers array themselves and prepare to launch as the Vehrakt flight passes...

Tallycorith says, "Steady.. steady... MARK!..."

Faranis balances on his toes, wings raised and tail alash...

Tallycorith pushes off into the air, and spreads his wings out, catching a breeze.. he strains slightly, and soars into the air, the other dragons behind him.. His sword held in hand, ready for an attack...

Rhinn draws his sword as he watches the soldiers take flight, praying to Spiritus we have enough troops.

Faranis snarls an order and as one the soldiers leap skyward, fanning out into an aggressive V that arrows up towards the rear of the Vehrakt wing. Not expecting such a brazen ambush in their own territory, on what should be a short and direct flight, the Aldani are very nearly in firebreath range before the Warriors realize they are being pursued. Immediately the trailing Vehrakt screams a warning, a roar of alert that galvanizes his fellows into action. As a single entity three close around the four bearing the net and they all dive rapidly for the ground. They COULD simply drop Razi, but they know Zhagtin values her highly in his plans and would sooner risk Aldani blades than the Warchief's wrath.

Tallycorith orders back to Faranis.. "Get Razi on the ground, and be careful.. "

Zhagtin, for his part, rolls smoothly onto his back in flight as his head snakes around to survey the sky behind him. A guttural snarl of fury escapes his jaws and his eyes narrow to red slits, then he opens his jaws a RRROARRRS an eardrum-shattering challenge to the foolish ALdani who DARE assault him in his own land. Wings snap open and bite the air loudly as he reverses course hard, one arm drawing the wickedly barbed and serrated length of his Warspear. He dives to join the party striving to reach ground, moving ti help his 3 Warriors intercept their pursuers. If it is battle they want, the Aldani will learn a fatal lesson.

Sedired flies down from above.
Sedired has arrived.

Faranis nods sharply and barks orders to his soldiers. "The net, claim the net! We must protect their prisoner at all costs!" With snarls of acknowledgement the Lieutenant and his wing of 9 dive toward the descending Vehrakt, spiralling in an attempt to gain an advantage of position and slip through the rearguard.

Tallycorith smiles darkly.. happy he drew the right attention.. "that's right big boy.. bring it on, for every scale on her thou hast hurt, I will give thee a cut. He looks at the returning Lord, and hears the roar, impressed, but only so... He lets loose a growl, that is low barely audible, it turns, however, into a screaming roar to match the master battler's own.. if he wants to scream, fine...

Tallycorith 's smile drops from his face, and his eyes become slits... His own Sword at the ready...

Rhinn pushes through the underbrush below, still wearing the green hood and cape that conceals him from the air, moving to keep near the fighting but not near enough to be in danger..

Tallycorith drops down with everyone else.. keeping an eye on Zhagtin, and also watching the other Vehrakt...

Zhagtin, for all his practicality, is too aggressive and proud to ignore such a challenge. As Tallycorith strikes a singular figure among the Aldani soldiers, he is obviously of some repute among them... and only the most confident and skilled warriors would have the nerve to so openly challenge Zhagtin the Destroyer. As his troops descend, almost to the safety of the trees now, Zhagtin swoops to meet the oncoming challenger. Fangs and claws gleam darkly as deep red eyes meet Tallycorith's gaze, and the claws gripping his Warspear spin the bladed shaft in deft gleaming arcs. "So you fancy yourself a Warrior, hatchling?" he growls loudly to his attacker, "Then let me teach your first and last lesson in death!"

Tallycorith growls back, "Thou art not my teacher.. I'm afraid any lesson thou could give we would to late for me to learn..." He pulls the sword back in a defensive position.. His sword held out at a 45 degree angle, ready for any attack, though not allowing it to be known what he knows, and how well he knows it, he only allows a standard defense be shown.. letting his enemy know nothing more than want he wants him to know...

Zhagtin banks smoothly, curving around Tally's position just above the Aldani as the Vehrakt enter the trees. He almost playfully feints in his flight as if he were going to try and flank the wary Tallycorith, telegraphing his maneuvers well in advance for the moment as he tests and gauges his foe. It appears that any battle between the 'grunts' will be on the ground for now, as the Aldani seem intent on pressing the attack.

Sedired flies in from the direction of Ft. Pyro in hopes of catching Warchief Zhagtin with a message. She has been flying hard and fast, trying to catch up with him. As she nears Gateway, she sees the signs of imminent battle, hears the shouting of battle cries raised. She slows slightly, her warspear pulled from the sheath on her back. Circling the area, she spots Zhagtin and his group and lands quickly, a snarl curling the corners of her mouth. She is quickly informed by another what is happening. Glancing around, she sees the captured Razi and heads towards her, barking out orders as Zhagtin takes care of the Aldani.

Zhagtin chuckles and replies almost conversationally as his spear whirrrs and spins before him. "Too late, yes, you'll learn nothing impaled upon my spear."

Tallycorith holds his place, careful to not over-react to Zhag's probes... he watches him well, knowing he will fight dirty, and ready for it.. he can block the sides, as well as the front, if he flys towars the rear, Tal'll have plenty of time to react...

Faranis leads the way as the Aldani enter the treetops, slowed a bit as they are less reckless in their descent than the Vehrakt before them. With the Vehrakt grounded, they know that precipitous landings will lead to certain death, and they drop through the trees with weapons and searing breath at the ready.

Tallycorith says, "How will thee impale me upon it, when I have shove it down thy very own throat.....?"

Rhinn lurks around the edge of the ground melee, sword remaining sheathed to avoid detection, watching for need of another body.

Zhagtin laughs openly at this, and rolls to face Tally with a flick of a wing. "Strong words from a weak stripling. Your insults show some skill... let's test you blade!" With that and a snarl he suddenly beats his wings and lunges towards Tallycorith, spear whistling directly out of a spin into a two-handed thrust at the Aldani's armored center of mass. The spear's reach is easily 3 times that of the Aldani's blade, its shaft shod in hardened Vehrakt iron and viciously spiked.

Sedired snarls once more, eyes gleaming brightly as enters the fray, a bloodcurtling cry raised as she goes against a rather large male. Seeming surprised to find his foe is female, he stumbles back. It proves to be his mistake. Pulling her spear from the dead dragon, she continues to pad towards the netted Razi.

As soon as they safely can the Vehrakt Warriors release the net, leving Razi to fall a good 10 feet to the sloping, rocky forest floor. All 7 have spears and blades drawn now, taking up positions in and among the trees as they prepare for the Aldani hot on their heels.

The descending Aldani fall upon their Vehrakt foes and a savage melee erupts among the trees as the Wariors fight fanatically to protect their Warchief's prize. Steel and iron ring together with snarls and roars of rage, the darkened forest lit by brilliant gouts of the dragons' own natural napalm. it is into this chaos that Sedired arives, to the fatal dismay of one Aldani.

Tallycorith twirls out of the way, Timing his sword slash downward at just the right moment, blocking the spear, and sending it off in the direction away from his body, sending the thrust off mark, and wild.. The spear being metal, is heavier than Tal's sword, and has a slower react time, Therefore, he follows the slash through, and around, using the momentum to his advantage, he brings it in, and around towards Zhagtin's neck, the spear's thrust bringing him closer, and the spin around brings Tal within Striking distance.. He brings the sword fast in a quick arc at Zhagtin..

Razi falls the last ten feet to the ground, yelling with a suprised shriek as she connects with the slope, causing further injury to her bruised body. she lays there in a motionless heap, dazed.

Zhagtin was expecting something along just these lines, a parry of such a blatant thrust and a followup strike to an overexened foe... except Zhagtin knows exactly what he is doing. One hand releases the spear as its momentum carries the blade past ally's body. Yes, Tally's maneuver has brought him closer to Zhagtin, but that means his swinging swordarm is likewise in reach. Zhagtin's freed arm shoots up, fisted and raised in a forearm parry that strikes Tally's hilt and swordhand like an iron bar, hammering the weapon's flamboyant arc aside. Without any pause Zhagtin is still moving foreward, his massive frame slamming into Tally's. With another snarl he draws back his head and lunges it forward, powerful fang-lined jaws snapping viciously at the Aldani's head and face.

Sedired growls, her spear raised as she pads towards the fallen Razi. Her glance goes towards Zhagtint o see him holding his own. Her path brings her around through the bushes...

Tallycorith blinks at such a blatant strategy, and how stupid he was to miss it, He reacts quickly however, and drops the sword, The other dragon's fangs scrape across his face, but nothing more... He grabs Zhag, and drops to the ground, allowing Zhagtin to fall over him, and using his knee to propel Zhag foreward, onto his back.. He flips over, and stands back up, grabbing the sword before he gets back up, and holds it back at the ready, more cautious this time.. watching Zhagtin already at his feet, unfortunately, the throw had sent Zhagtin into the right area for him to grab the spear easily, now the dragon is armed again.. and ready....

A small but vicious battle wages in the trees, the darkness and close terrain making every shadow an enemy, even if it is a friend. the Vehrakt are loosely clustered around the spot where Razi landed, but now have more to wory about than the ensnared prisoner. Several have already fallen on both sides, and burning trees cast flickering cross-shadows that make the scene even more chaotic.

Tallycorith blood trails over his face, he ignores it, since it's not getting in his eyes..

Razi groans and rolls over onto her side, lifting herself up to see where she is, unfortunately...all she sees is Sedired all too near from her view in the tangled net.

Tallycorith notes to himself that the other dragon may not be taller, but his is bigger, and thus has an advantage...

Rhinn waits until the battle has mostly paired off on the ground, searching for an opportunity to help.. there! He leaps forward, tearing off the poncho but retaining it as a weapon as he draws his sword. A blast of his breath incinerates the unlucky vehrakt as he looks up in surprise from gutting his opponent, rapier slicing around to face whoever else may be too close.

Sedired comes in behind Rhinn, watching him as he removes his poncho. Seeing who it is, she smiles, knowing that he is an even better hostage than Razi. Motioning to several Vehrakt nearby, they leave the female and begin to circle the unknowing Rhinn.

Zhagtin tucks and drops as the plummeting duel brings both dragons to the treetops. His mass and toughness carry him through the branches and he catches his stance on the slope, turning to face his now likewise grounded opponent. Standing in the darkness, half-lit by flickering firelight, his is not a presence to be taken lightly. He advances, playtime over, his spear whizzing in short controlled arcs before him as he closes on his prey.

Razi coughs as she starts to struggle pathetically in her carry net, calling out for help in a dry crackly voice "H-help?! He-he*cough* help!.

Rhinn takes a leap to help out another Aldani, flinging the cloak in his opponent's face to blind him before spearing him with the sword, the narrow tip slipping between two scales.

Sedired nods to the other Vehrakt. Good, the gold Aldani has not noticed her yet. Drawing closer still, she bids her time untill... suddenly, she attacks! Spear raised, she jumps towards Rhinn's back...

Rhinn 's recently disengaged friend shouts a warning just before Sed leaps, giving Rhinn enough time to stagger sideways and take the impact mostly on his sword's handguard and his shoulder.

And a shadow lunges out of the trees. It is Lieutenant Faranis, bleeding profusely but interposing himself. The firelight reveals that half his face and a large portion of his chest are a smoking, charred ruin, but he rasps defiance as he rushes Sedired and raises his blade. "Not my Lord Rhinn! Never, you Vehrakt savage!"

Faranis calls to Rhinn as he meets the attacking Aldani, "Razi is unguarded! Free her, Lord!"

Tallycorith watches Zhag, and looks down on him, since Tal landed higher up on the slope.. He hears the cry of Razi, of lower down on the slope.. He knows he may not survive this, to get her home, if he's not careful, Zhatin is a master at his art, and that spear is deadly.. He takes a gamble, hoping it'll allow him enough to get a good shot in, and allow him to get Razi home. He takes the sword, and holds it in a pose that makes it look like a ready strike, held back like a baseball bat. He starts towards the other dragon at a run, since they are a good few feet apart.. but just out of range of the spear, instead of dodgeing the spear, he takes the sword, and flings it at Zhag's head in a spinning arc. kind of like a helicopter blade, ducking out of the way of the spear, but not in time, as he takes a mighty blow to the chest, and the armor is ripped open.. A large gash is opened in his chest... He rolls to the ground, Zhagtin coming down to avoid the now whirling blade.... Tal takes his dagger from it's sheath, and digs it up into the other dragon's chest, pushing with a mighty heave, that sends Zhag back, and his head onto a rock.... The spear falls several feet from them both, and the sword lays down the slope.. The dagger still in his hands...

Sedired pushes back against Rhinn as Faranis attacks. Turning, she snarls, "And who will stop me? Not you! " Thus said, she steps forward, her spear raised against the young lieutenant. Throwing her head back, she laughs, then attacks the wounded Aldani.

Faranis is gravely wounded, but fights on tenaciously. His one good eye shows steely defiance and his ready sword is steady and undaunted. "I already HAVE stopped you, wench! Now you DIE!"

Rhinn twists and dashes at Faranis' command, not sparing a backward glance at the brave captain. He leaps rocks and breaks his fall with wings, breaking into the clearing where Razi lays..

Sedired shakes her head, then raises it again. "You Aldani never learn do you? But.. as always, I will do the favor of teaching you better.." Chuckling again, she jumps forward, her spear coming against Faranis' sword, a loud battlecry on her lips.

And there Rhinn finds Razi truly unguarded, Faranis having dispatched the last standing Vehrakt at severe cost to himself.

Razi has her head free of the net now, the rest of her body still in it's twisted confines as she spies Rhinn, "H-help mme? please..."

Tallycorith staggers, and stumbles towards his sword, he grabs it, and starts towards Razi.. albeit, slowly, as his wound is fairly deep..

Rhinn sheathes his sword and starts working at the net, nodding. "I'm here to rescue you, Razi. Hold on." Finally he mentally says, screw it, and starts snapping ropes with a quick puff of flame. Soon the mesh falls away from the dragoness and he helps her up, arm across his shoulders..

Razi is hoisted up by Rhinn, causing her much pain as she yelps out, her legs sagging to the ground once again.

Rhinn mutters somthing between a prayer and an oath, crouching beside her but looking around warily. "What's wrong? Can you fly?" he asks, quickly, hand hovering near the sword.

Razi looks like she is barely capable of stayi9ng awake, much less flying or walking from her great ordeal at the hands of the Vehrakt.

Zhagtin cocks his head slightly, watching Tallycorith's runnign approach with open contempt. Until the sword is flung, that is. The uncertain, unpredictable lighting makes the foolishly desperate attack effectively difficult to see. With a snarled curse as he realizes what is coming for him, Zhagtin ducks low and aside, but his timing is off. He sweep-thrusts at the rushing Aldani, landing a solid blow to the chest that would have speared through a dragon without Tally's custom armor. Instead the blade is turned aside just enough that it skips and gouges deeply across the Aldani's ribs, gashing them to the bone but failing to kill outright, or even stop him. Zhagtin is therefore rather startled when the Aldani who should be spitted on his spear instead barrels into him, rising with a dagger-thrust to the the chest. Zhagtin's battleharness and his own armored scales protect him from more than a painful gouge across his torso, but it is the heave that does him in. Unexpectedly he is lifted from his clawed feet and thrust back down the slope, head striking a rock even as he twists to regain his footing. Stars erupt in his vision and he lands heavily. He is momentarily stunned but is raging and roaring defiance, somehow pushing himself towards an upright posture even as his vision swims and he staggers.

Rhinn huffs a small drift of smoke in frustration, roaring Tally's name. He can't carry her alone. "Come on, girl, don't give me this.."

Faranis parries with effort but effectively, the strain taking much out of him as he feels his last reserves flagging. Desperate now and determined not to fail, he leans back slightly on his tail for balance and kicks out at Sedired's midsection, trying to drive the strong Vehrakt female back.

Razi tries to keep to her feet, taking very slow steps, holding onto Rhinn for support, blood running down her midsection through her tattered and soiled clothing...

Tallycorith staggers down slope, where Razi had landed.. He keeps downwards.. and reaches he two dragons.. "He looks at Razi, and sees all the gashes, and bruises.. The sight of her harmed body Makes him forget all his pain, and runs to Razi, and Rhinn, He immediately takes up on the other side of Razi.. Holding her up, carefully... His pain currently forgotten, and ignored, as he's enraged at the sight of Razi so damaged... The blood runs down his front quickly.. he does not have time to cover it, or bandage it..

Sedired hrrmphs as Faranis' feet connect with her midriff, though it doens't stop her from pressing her advantage. If he wants to stop her, he'll have to do better than that. Already, the smile of victory is on her muzzle as her spear swings back around, knocking the sword from his grip. "You didn't do your lessons very well Aldani..." So saying, she thrusts forward, impaling the Aldani. Rentching the spear from his chest, she turns, seeing the two helping the female. Sneaking up behind the three, she attacks once again....

Rhinn winces as he watches Faranis fall, pulling away to fend off the dragoness yet again, but this time ready. "Keep going," he tells Tally, redrawing his sword.

Tallycorith stops, and staggers, catcching Razi's full wieght, looking back at Rhinn, "But Milord.. I cannot allow thee to be taqken captive.....

Faranis's snarl of challenge transforms to a gasp of shock as he is disarmed, then a gurgling scream as he is run completley through. The Bloody spear erupts from his back, piercing a wing membrane, then is wrenched from his crumpling body. The brave lieutenant is dead before his last breath has completely rattled from his throat.

Rhinn shakes his head, "Get her out!" in a tone that doesn't mean argue. "You're wounded, I'm not." His attenuated explanation is cut short by Sed's approach.

Sedired laughs, "We meet once more.. and this time there is no others to interfere. " She nods once. Courtesy from a Vehrakt? Spear raised, she taunts him, "Shall I teach you the same lesson your poor lieutenat learned?"

Zhagtin is upslope, his roars clearly audible as he shakes his head and tries to regain his equilibrium. Unable to see or balance clearly, he brandishes his spear about him, fending off attackers he expects to assault him at any instant.

Razi concentrates on just putting one foot in front of the other, consuming all her efforts to not pass out as she walks with Tallycorith's help.

Rhinn 's chest swells up and he gives a bellow of challenge accompanied by a bright yellow flare. He leaps through the fading flames, rapier tip swiping at throat level.

Sedired laughs, then motions to several Vehrakt nearby, shouting only one word, "Now!" Another net is thrown, entangling Rhinn in it's confines. She runs forward, spear at the ready as the others follow the net, surrounding the fallen gold dragon...

Zhagtin clenches his fists and exerts his considerable will, focusing inward on the pain and disorientation and forcing them from his conciousness. When he raises his head again he is clear of sight and thought, and exceedingly angry.

Tallycorith starts walking off with the half conscscience Razi.. "Alright.. I'll take care of her, but thou take care of thyself.. and come back.. or I'll have to come back myself, and rescue thee.. and That bastard up there is a tough bugger..." He lifts Razi into his arms, taking her full weight upon himself, and starts running through the forest, Razi being held as gently as possible in his arms, his blood running down his body...

Rhinn 's vicious leap is arrested in midair by the entangling net and he lands on his face in disgrace. "Bitch," he spits, dropping his rapier with a growl.

Sedired snarls, straddling Rhinn as he struggles in the net. Looking up, she sees Zhagtin pads towards her and calls out, "Zhagtin... perhaps this prize shall make you happy. Here... for you my Warchief!"

Tallycorith runs of through the woods, back towards Aldani territory. He has a one track mind right now, and thats to get Razi back to the Aldani areas...

Zhagtin storms down the slope, in a murderous rage. Smashing his way through burned foliage, he emerges onto the killing ground where azi was held and much of the battle was fought... and finds Sedired and her reinforcements with the TRUE prize at their mercy. HE slowly to a stop, leaning on his spear... and the echoes of his guttural, cruel laughter pursue the escaping Aldani through the trees.

Zhagtin strides closer, inspecting the prize through the net. "Ahhhh, the illustrious advisor... in our claws!" he offers the trapped Aldani a fang-filled grin with absolutely no humor in it, then brutally clubs him over the head with a heavy fist.

Rhinn snarls out a few curses, then falls silent as Zhagtin's fist connects with his head.
