Born to the Purple

"Ambassador Mollari! We need to talk about the Euphrates treaty."

"I agree, but you've been ducking me on this for a week. Now Iexpect you in the council chambers at ten tomorrow morning to begin formal negotiations with the Narn."

"Sinclair here."

"Run it by the EO. I'll check back with you when I can."

"I'll be glad to censure him when he gets here... Mr. COtto... Please try the ambassador."

"Then try him again!"

"Talia? . . . Are you alright?"

"Earth Central wants a peaceful settlement. And so do I. It'll show them Babylon 5 is doing the job it was meant to do."

"Londo and G'Kar know a peaceful solution in the Euphrates sector would benefit them more than a conflict. That's where you come in. You're my 'peeler.' You're going to peel away their lies until they're left with that inescapable truth."

"I do. If Londo ever shows up!"

"After the effort you put in today, Ifelt you deserved it."

"What about him?"

"Intensely what?"

"I'm not surprised."

"In the interests of all our governments, perhaps we can begin the talks while Ambassador Mollari is found. . . Keep them talking. I'm going to find Londo and bring him here."

"Then I hurt him."

"Londo!"

"Londo, Idon't want to hear about it. You've turned these talks into a joke and that joke may harm a dozen worlds. Now, Idon't know what's up --"

"What are you talking about?"

"Have you reported this to Security?"

"If I do, will you agree to my compromise on the Euphrates treaty?"

"That should make G'Kar's day."

"Ha, ha, ha! Argo was right about you Og: you run things tough."

"Well enough to know you don't call him that to his face! Last one who did wound up an entre in the Alien Sector."

"Ah, we're looking to hire some dancers for a private show. Argo said you had the best, but..."

"I like to know all there is to know about Babylon 5 and Garibaldi's files are very thorough."

"How we gonna find this friend of Adira's?"

"I take it these are not them?"

"Go! ... This way! ... Damn! ... Quick! ... Who sent these men, Londo?"

"Looks like Trakis has your dancer."

"According to the station logs, nothing's left Babylon 5 for the last two hours. That means Adira and your files are still aboard."

"I could arrest him. There are enough charges."

"Londo, she's the one who got you in this mess."

"All right. Ihave an idea."

"Not you, Ambassador, us. My government wants certain concessions in the Euphrates sector and I'm sure the Narn will be grateful for any help?"

"Ms. Winters will sit in and make sure the seller is dealing truthfully. Earth Alliance will pay her fee, of course."

"Then we have a deal?"

"Coming from you, Ambassador, that's a real compliment."

"Security. She's in the Alien Sector, Level 4."
