Yojimbo led the small group of archers up onto the battlements with his guidance. They managed to slow the siege engines attacks by half buying the precious moments for those who battled the huge blaze that raged unchecked in the foyer area. "Bring more arrows! Hurry or we will not beable to press our advantage." He shouted to one of the pages.
"Hurry!! We need to get that ballista up and firing before they start lobbing boulders at us again." Mariner shouted as he lifted one of the braces into place. "Bring up more shots for this thing we are going to have to fire and reload quickly." Fleckles helped where she could as she flitted about the foyer.
Mudge was busy firefighting when an enemy ballista bolt smashed through the keystone of the West Gate. The huge stones fell away as the wall started to crumble. Yojimbo and the archers that survived the collapse staggered off of the ruins of the wall. Another catapult load brought what was left of the wall down. It crashed across the moat forming a natural bridge. "Fall back!! Fall back into the Tower!!" Mudge shouted. He grabbed the nearest guard. "Regroup with those inside and tell them that the Western Gate has fallen...we'll hold them off as long as we can." The guards looked as if to protest, but Mudge pushed him towards the Tower. "GO NOW!!"
Mariner, Yojimbo, and Mudge stood in the midst of the fallen wall. They stood side by side facing the tide of warriors that swarmed towards them. Yojimbo used his katana to draw a line in the dirt. He would make sure that no enemy made past it. "Looks like this is it." The three shouted their war cries as the enemy poured through the collapsed wall, like water bursting forth from a dam.

Lady Savanah stood atop the battlements overlooking the wave of humanity that surged forth threateneing her home. The archers along side her pulled their bows back awaiting her command to fire. Savanah summoned the arctic winds to blow towards the enemy with all it's natural fury. She then summoned forth hail to batter their defenses. "Now!!!" She shouted. The archers all along the battlement followed her command and fired into the midst of their confused enemies.
Lord Alex, Ragnar, Istar and Connell sat upon their saddles along with a dozen other mounted guardsmen. The Eastern drawbridge was lowered and the gates flung open wide. They charged into battle. Alex could be heard over the thunder of the charge. "They wanted a fight so let's bring it to them. ATTACK!!!!"
The riders wadded out into the midst of their enemies and brought with them certain doom. The Tower's archer's helped support their mounted fighters by picking off any enemies that might threaten them. Savanah hovered over the battlefield tossing bolts of lighting down upon the unsuspecting adversaries controlling the siege engines. The battle would be hard fought but victory for the Tower seemed certain.

Trumpets soon blared across the landscape announcing the defeat of the enemy horde. They watched as their attacker's fled the battlefield. Cheers rose up from all along the battlements. Lady GreyWolf, Savanah, and White Raven embraced one another in the main courtyard as everyone around them cheered at their combined triumph. Then the disturbing news befell them all the Western Gate had fallen. Everyone rushed towards the Western Gate where a mighty gate once stood. There was nothing more than a gaping wound. They walked through the broken wall. The sunlight before them was so shocking that it took their breath away. Mariner sat upon a barstool infront of one of Mudge's portable counters surrounded by the enemy that they had fought against. Fleckles sat passed out in a wineglass. Her cheeks rosy from overindulgence.
Mariner looked up from his joke and lifted his mug of ale. "oh,...hey we had hoped you all would be along soon." He laughed then turned back to the lurid joke he was in the midst of before he was interrupted. Soon everyone was enjoying themsleves around the counter drinking drinks with people that they had fought not so long ago.
Lady GreyWolf and Savanah walked the grounds around the Tower. They found Yojimbo sitting in a meditative position surrounded by enemies that mimicked his movements and listened to his recital of the bushido code. "What's going on here?" Lady GreyWolf asked Yojimbo. "Hello there ladies!" Yojimbo said with a soft smile. "I don't know really but I would have to agree with Mudge-san, our enemies are not evil, only misinformed." "Where is Mudge?" Lady Savanah asked. "I believe he and this army's commander are over in that driection." Yojimbo nodded then he returned to instructing his meditative teachings.
Lady GreyWolf and Savanah followed the path down to the beach and found Mudge sitting in the sand with an armored lady in his embrace. Her head was upon his chest as they talked to one another. "...so..there was never any mountain of gold here..." Xaly repeated softly. "No, there never was...but we do have a great treasure. It's something that ya can't spend, or even see it can only be felt...friendship and peace is our greatest treasure and that makes us the richest kingdom in all the realms." Mudge replied. Savanah coughed loudly causing the armored lady to hop out of Mudge's arms. Xaly looked up at the two ladies that had snuck up on them and smiled weakly, her cheeks flushed.
"Mudge, I see you have turned an enemy into a friend once again..." Lady GreyWolf laughed. He smiled then stood up dusting the sand off his armor. "Jedi mind trick." Mudge replied with a wink. Lady Greywolf's hands went to her hips. "Need I remind you to stick to medieval roleplay rules!!" as she chuckles... Mudge smiled and winked. "Party Pooper."

Another day dawns upon the tower and all it's residence wonder what the future may hold for them all is unknown. They all can agree though, that no matter what lays in store for them, they will always be there for one another....
