Memorable Moments The Second Time Around

Edmund and Brooke turn up the heat by stoking an old flame.  Ex-lovers Brooke and Edmund took their latter-day friendship a step further this past fall when they began dating again. What followed was a natural progression that echoed their past, yet was so much better because of their complete readiness to love and be loved.  Making their debut as a couple at the Crystal Ball, the two looked forward to an enchanted evening.
Although the party didn't quite live up to their expectations, they more than made up for that later.

Never a dull moment
Between revealing the Proteus statue and breaking up an altercation between David and Roger, host Edmund barely got a minute alone with his date. As the clock was moments away from striking midnight, he searched for Brooke, only to lock eyes with her across a crowd of people as the New Year came rolling in. "Does 'I'm sorry' cover it?" he asked sincerely when he finally reached her side.  As the couple reflected on the chaos that had taken place, Edmund was forced to leave Brooke once again so that he could say good-bye to one of the guests. "I'll save your place," she told him.

Phoebe & Crew To The Rescue
Meanwhile, Jamie, Sam and Maddie were planning something special for their parents. With Aunt Phoebe's help, they put into action "Operation Slow Dance." Brooke sensed that something was up, but the kids scurried away before she could get any answers out of them.

The Big Dance
When Brooke finally met up with Edmund, a beautiful melody began to play. "As much as I'd like to take credit for this, I can't," he said. "Seems like a shame to let this song go to waste, though."  Taking her hand, Edmund pulled her into his arms. As candles flickered around the now-empty room, he kissed Brooke's neck before ultimately brushing his lips against hers. "I love you," he confessed, looking deeply into her eyes.   "I love you, too," she responded.  Unable to deny their desire for one another, the love-birds left the ballroom. Silently drawing Brooke to him, Edmund passionately kissed her before scooping her up and heading to his bedroom.

The Morning After
Over breakfast in bed the following morning, Brooke and Edmund snuggled close to one another as they discussed their plans for the day. It was going to be a busy one. But, added Brooke, "when we stop being magazine writers, we go back to loving and supporting each other."  "I am this close to crying," Edmund teased her.  "Are you making fun of me?" she asked.  "You want me to stop?",   "Never. Never, never, ever."
