| Brooke Plays Hard to Get By Marcie I see Brooke as a strong woman and I would like to see her play hard to get at some point with Edmund. Part of their history together has always been Brooke dumping Edmund and him chasing after her no matter what. I see it as a turn-on for him. The harder she is to get the more he tries. So the context of this little piece of fanfiction is that she's been fighting for Edmund for a while. He has asked both Brooke and Maria for some time to get his thoughts together and figure out what he's feeling. Brooke has decided she's not going to sit around and wallow in self-pity, so when Tad asks her if she wants to go to a party he's supposed to attend, she says yes. Brooke is dressed in a low-cut strapless dress, with lots of cleavage showing and the length is above her knee, so it shows lots of leg, too. She has decided to go to a party that Tad invited her to, rather than sit home and brood about Edmund. The doorbell rings and she opens it to Edmund, who asks if he can come in. Brooke: Why are you here? Edmund: I needed to talk to you about Tempo business. Brooke: Well, come in. I've got a few minutes before I have to leave. Edmund: You look great! Who are you wearing that dress for? Brooke: I'm wearing the dress for myself because it makes me feel good. Edmund: You know what I mean. Who are you going out with? Brooke: I don't think that's any of your business. Edmund: Maybe not, but I care about you Brooke. Brooke: I don't want you to care about me Edmund. I don't want you to come over and ask me who I'm going out with. I don't ask you about Maria do I? Edmund: No, and I appreciate that Brooke. I really need some time to sort out my feelings, but I didn't expect you to start dating the minute we broke up. Brooke: I'm not dating. I'm going to a party with a friend. Edmund: A female friend? Brooke: Edmund, that's enough. Leave it alone. Edmund: It's Tad isn't it? Brooke: Yes. Edmund: Oh that's just great. I thought you said there wasn't anything going on between you and Tad. Isn't that what you've been telling me for the last three months every time I caught you hugging him? And the time you kissed him in the bar, you told me it didn't mean anything. Brooke: Edmund, I don't want to go through this with you anymore. Tad and I are friends, we're both lonely, why not go to a party together? What's wrong with that? Do you want me to sit home and cry over you? Edmund: No, but I don't want you to get hurt. Brooke: Oh, it's okay for you to hurt me, but not Tad, is that it? Edmund: No, that's not what I meant. I'm so sorry I hurt you, but I can't lie to you. I love you and I love Maria. I can't be with both of you, that wouldn't be fair. Look, Brooke. You remember what happened with Tad last time. Brooke: Yes, and you won't let me forget it. That's not going to happen again. I'm not going to confuse friendship with love and neither is Tad. Edmund: But you did last time. And the way you've been acting around him this time is sending him mixed signals. I know that's why he kissed you in the bar. He pulls you in, then he backs off and you can't resist him. Brooke: I don't want to hear anymore. Why don't you just leave? You don't know what you're talking about. Edmund: Then why are you wearing that dress to go out with Tad? You might as well wear a sign that says, "Take me to bed". Brooke: Alright, that's it. I want you to leave now. Edmund: I'm not leaving. Brooke: Why not? Edmund: Because I miss you too much. (He pulls her to him) I miss holding you and kissing you.(He starts kissing her passionately) I miss making love to you. (He starts kissing her neck and shoulders) Brooke: Oh, Edmund. Why are you doing this? Edmund: Because I want you Brooke and I know you want me too. I love you, I always have and I always will. (He kisses her passionately again). Is Jamie home? Brooke: No, we're alone. But what about Tad? Edmund: The hell with Tad. The only one who is taking you to bed tonight is me. He picks her up and carries her upstairs. |
