The Interview

Lady Godiva:    When did you decide to write professionally?
Stephanie:  I decided to write professionally about three years ago.  I had started                             about three novels from '94 until '99, but never finished for some reason or another, but finally decided that it was time for me to start one and finish it.

Lady Godiva: Why did you self publish the novel?
Stephanie: I self published because during the time I was researching publishing companies and being published, there were a lot of people telling me how publishing companies chop your work up until it's almost unrecognizable.  I didn't want that to happen to my work.  I had a particular story to tell and I wanted to tell it the way I wanted to.

Lady Godiva: Give us a brief synopsis?
Stephanie: The book is about two friends who are best friends in every sort of the way and they contemplate becoming intimate. There are a lot of things that they go through that solidifies their friendship that even they don't understand.

Lady Godiva:  Did you base the story after your life?
Stephanie:  Yes, some of it.

Lady Godiva What do you want your readers to know about you?
Stephanie: That I have a strong passion for life and a strong passion for writing.  I'm not writing to try to teach anyone anything, I just have something in particular that I want you to know.

Lady Godiva What are your future goals?
Stephanie: To continue writing romance novels and to keep getting the oooh's and ahhhh's from my readers.
